Mrs. Mary Mills joined the group ac­ companied by Rt. Rev. T. David B. Ragg Anglican Bishop of Huron, the two Warden Tom Kooy and Gote Wennerstrom and Heber Davis. As it was the bishops first visit to St. Patricks he en­ joyed a tour of the Church and Parish Hall. After a short discussion on in­ surance the bishop con­ gratulated the congregation on their work and the fine condition of the church. Sunday June 4 Rev. H. Rokaby-Thomas was guest speaker at St. Pauls Kirkton anniversary. He and Mrs. Thomas were guests until Tuesday with Rev. Mills. Monday afternoon and even­ ing she held open house at the rectory and many of the members from St. Pauls Kirkton, St. Patricks Saintsbury and St. Thomas Granton had a chance visit them at that time. ARTHUR HODGINS Tuesday evening the UCW met at the Clandeboye United Church for their June meeting, Lucan UCW were guests. Mrs. Wilmer Scott was in charge and introduced her niece, Marcia Elgie, R.N., London who showed slides and told of her experiences in the nursing profession in Saudi Arabia where she worked for a year. She is planning to go back this summer with the Bell Telephone Company as their nurse while they are on an assignment there. It was a most interesting and informative evening. Several from this com­ munity called at the Lindsay Funeral home St. Marys last week where they paid their respect to the late Mrs. Mary Jaques of Woodham. She was an aunt to Mr. and Mrs, Lee Webber. Sympathy of the community is extend­ ed to them. United Church Women Some 30 ladies attended the June meeting of the United Church Women. The meeting opened with the business Mrs. Rohde read a poem “The Whitchery of June”. Quite a number of cards of thanks were read. Final plans were discuss­ ed about the Strawberry Supper. The money was handed in for the “Each Day In May” project. Articles for the bale were brought in to be taken to the Saugeen Indian Reserve in the near future. It was decided to ■ have the September meeting at the Exeter Golf Course and also supper. Mrs. Donald Bray and Mrs. George Kellett gave reports on their recent weekend at Westminster College London. Mrs. Fred Johns opened the worship service with the theme “On Father’s Day” and a poem “The Pal God Gave To Me”. Mrs. Jack Stewart read the Scripture. A reading and a prayer a woman had written for her husband were given by Mrs. Donald Bray. A piano solo was capably given by Mrs. Alvin Passmore and a reading On Father’s Day was given by Mrs. Johns. A vocal duet by Mrs. Donald Bray and Miss Doris Elford accompanied by Miss Janet Bray. Miss Jean Coward and Mrs. Jack Stewart received the offer­ ing with prayer by Mrs. Johns.
