There were others who made part of their donation last year and would like to give the remainder this year. To date $140,570.00 has been collected towards a total of $175,000.00. This program is directed to the rehabilitation of dwellings with faulty structural pr other related conditions, placing special emphasis on upgrading of plumbing, heating and electrical systems. Yes — roofing, siding and insulation do qualify under the program. Am I eligible? A homeowner may be eligible for assistance if the "adjusted family income” does not exceed $12,500.00. What does "adjusted family income” mean? The income of the principal wage earner and his or her spouse during the 12 months immediately preceding the date of application, after deducting therefrom the following: I. The earnings of the spouse or $1,000 whichever is the lesser. II. $300 for each dependent child III. The first $1,000 of earning of a one-parent family What funds are available? In the 10 years as an executive member of the Synodical, Mrs. Schwalm held office for four years as Literature Secretary and for four years as Children’s Work Secretary and for two years as member without portfolio. Within the 10 years she attended the National Council Board of Canada at Ewart College in Toronto twice and once attended Guelph University secretary training, for a week. HURONVIEW AUXILIARY The Huronview Auxiliary held their April meeting in the Board Room Monday, April 17. Owing to the sudden death of the late president, Mrs.Connie Colclough, the secretary, Mrs. Annie McNichol opened the meeting by all repeating the Lord’s Prayer and then two minutes silence was ob­ served by all present. The roll call was answered by those who were not present at the Marchlmeetingipaying their fees. A\request'wasjmade|for|Mr. Archibald, superintendent, to sit in for part of the meeting. Discussion followed to try and fill the offices for the coming year; it is hoped that those taking office will be installed at the May meeting. It was decided to discontinue the Christmas Fair and have a party for the residents and serve tea and cookies. The Blossom tea will be held as arranged on May 31 from 2-4 p.m. when there will be a bake table. Any person who would like to help in the work of the Huronview Auxiliary may do so by donating towards the bake table. This would be very much appreciated. stafra By MRS. J.
