meeting for the summer
project of gardening, Club 4
had their first meeting.
Mary-Ann Govers was
elected president, Jackie
Sullivan vice-president,
Sarah McClure press
reporter. Members adopted
a rotating system for the
position of secretary.
Leaders are Jean Sullivan
and Mrs. Margaret McClure.
They discussed factors to
consider when a garden plot
is chosen, the reasons that a
garden should be planted
and what to consider when
developing a plan for the
garden.
Members looked at seed
catalogues and chose 10
vegetables and four flower
seeds.
The next meeting will be
May 9 at Jean Sullivan’s
house.
