The meeting will be held at Ailsa Craig United Church. Two special committees, an arrangements and a luncheon committee were established at the meeting held March 14 in preparation for the event. Mrs. Ann (Donaldson) McLean, a former area girl, was guest speaker at the March meeting. Giving "a talk and demonstration on making hasti notes and pic­ tures with dried flowers and grasses, Mrs. McLean told how she uses the pages of the telephone book for press­ ing flowers. McCallum, with a course on tailoring being selected for Seniors at skate show vener of Family and Con­ sumer Affairs, took the chair for the program. Mrs. L. Hughes read the scripture and Mrs. Hilda Morton, took the motto, “Credit Makes Cheap Things Dear”. It was reported that members Martha Rees and Dot Silverson were ill in the hospital and get well messages were sent. Play cards at Whalen By MRS. Brent Mills son of Ray and Judy Mills Centralia is staying with his grand­ parents Mr. & Mrs. MacLeod Mills while Mom and Dad holiday in Florida. Sunday last Mr. & Mrs. Ernest Ferguson attended open house at Dana Residence, Glencoe. This home is run by Mike Gillespie for the elderly. Congratulations to Clare and Debbie McRobert on the birth of a daughter, a sister for Jeffery. The seniors gathered at the town hall where two buses were quickly filled and taken to the London Gardens for an evening long to be remembered. Over the past year the Lions also- donated $500 to Strathmere Lodge for a new van, $500 Middlesex plexiglass, snowarama races, $250 Craig and hockey team and $500 to the Canadian National Institute for the Blind. Recently a $550 typewriter was purchased for handicapped Lisa Edwards.
