Dashwood seniors
hear Clinton choir

Keller and Mr. & Mrs. Ross
Love was in charge of the
March meeting of Dashwood
senior citizens. The men of
Ontario St. United Church
Clinton choir with Mrs.
Berne McKinley, leader,
entertained. Jerry Cox
played the drums, Bob
Mann, violin and guitar,
Fred Lobb, guitar and
saxophone; Fred James,
Goderich, played violin.
Mrs. McKinley played piano
and gave two lovely solos on
the marimba.
Ding dong euchre was
played. Several prizes were
given out for various
reasons, to Oscar Pfaff,
Mrs. Ken McCrae, Mrs.
Lloyd Rader, Mrs. Leonard
Prang, Morris Durand, Mrs.
Ray Fisher, Mrs. G.
Koehler, Mrs. Edith
Beierling, Everett Haist,
Mrs. Letta Taylor, Mrs.
Leita Hill, Mrs. Florence
Keller and Lome Fink-
beiner.
The musicians were
thanked by Mrs. Freida
Keller for the splendid
program.
Charles Martene,
president, had welcomed all.
This included 30 from Zurich
seniors and over 40 from
Dashwood. The April
meeting will be held April 30.
The seniors will be guests of
Exeter seniors April 3.
Mrs. Cora Gaiser
returned to her home
after spending some
with her daughter
family, Rev. & Mrs. Bruce
Seebach, Kitchener.
Mr. & Mrs. Earl Keller and
family spent two weeks in
Florida visiting many places
of interest.
Pastor and Mrs. Arthur
Rader and family,
Bramalea, spent a few days
with Mr. & Mrs. Elgin Rader
and Brian.
Mr. & Mrs. Dave Rader
and family were Sunday
visitors with Mr. & Mrs.
Mike O’Leary and family,
Lucan.
The Youth of Zion
Lutheran church met March
18. Judy Mellecke opened it
with a prayer. Daniel
Mellecke was in charge of
Bible study. He told why
there are so many different
religions. He had them read
a chapter and write one
sentence to describe it.
Sandra Da tars and Lisa
Miller were voted delegates
to the LLL convention in
Kitchener. They decided to
have the Easter Sunrise
Service. It was decided to
continue a Wednesday night
service with everyone
welcome. The songs to be
sung in Kitchener, April 29.
were practiced. A circle
prayer and lunch followed.
Six euchre winners
There were ten tables in
play at the euchre at Dash
wood Community Centre,
Tuesday, March 20. Winners
were: high, Mrs. Roy Swartz
and Gerald Mason; low,
Mrs. Angeline Scott and
Wayne Rumball; lone hands,
ladies’, Mrs. Mary Moser;
men’s, Donald Beaver.
