Dashwood Women’s
Institute held their February
meeting Tuesday with 15
members answering the Roll
Call, “A safety precaution in
the home”. There were three
guests. Cards of thanks were
read for donations at
Christmas Hme. The Year of
the Child was discussed and
Mrs. Harold Schroeder and
Mrs. Ray Rader were ap
pointed a committee to find
out about a grant for the play
ground.
Dashwood W.I. will give a
special prize for a crochet
afghan at Exeter fair. Mrs.
Gordon Bender has been
appointed Alternate
Federation Representative
for the Ditrict. A euchre will
be held February 27.
Mrs. Irvin Rader
displayed the Log book she
was compiling and discussed
method of doing so.

Brinsley Community Hall

very disappointed in the
short notice of change.”
There is considerable
expansion taking place in
our production. This ex
pansion is expensive and is
likely to be long term. We
would like to see efforts to
expand the processing and
packing industry. Any help
the government can extend
in this direction would be
appreciated.
The Ontario government
has been doing a good job in
promoting Ontario produce.
We are pleased to see that
the Federal government is
doing more work along this
line. However, much more
promotion of our product is
required.”

manse in Lucan with Mrs.
Keith Brown as hostess.
Mrs. Chas. Coughlin,
president, was in charge of
the program which this year
is based on the Human
Rights issue.
She also showed slides of
Guadeloupe and Antiqua in
the Caribbean. The hostess
served lunch and a social
half hour followed the
meeting.
