He replaces Joseph Mills who resigned at the end of December. Mr. McCauley, a native of Stratford and his wife,»Linda also a Stratfordite, will be moving to Mitchell about February 1. He has his Master of Education degree in curriculum development and administration. For the past 10 years he has been a principal at St. Mary’s Separate School in Woodstock for the past four years with the Oxford County Roman Catholic Separate School board. At the moment 10 celebrities have definitely confirmed their attendance at the dinner to be held Tuesday, February 6 at the South Huron Rec Centre. On hand as master of ceremonies to introduce the guest speakers will be Tom McKee of CBC television sports fame. The headline speaker will be Bobby Bragan from the world of baseball. Bragan was well known as a scrappy catcher in the National , league and later manager of the Pittsburgh Pirates. Since hi§ active involve­ ment in the playing field, Bragan was president of thp Baseball Players Associa­ tion and is now in public relations with Com­ missioner Bowie Kuhn’s of­ fice. Baseball will be well represented by Lou Whitaker of the Detroit Tigers, 1978 American league rookie of the year and a player from the Toron­ to Blue Jays. Dan Maloney of the Toron­ to Maple Leafs will be in attendance and former Lon­ don Knight, Brad Marsh now with the Atlanta Flames is a strong possibility. A lot of hockey experience will be present in the person of Frank Selke Sr. who has been responsible for building the empires of the Toronto Maple Leafs and Montreal Canadiens. Wall, a native of Kincar­ dine now is headquartered in the London area. He has a good reputation of getting the best out of young horses, especially in preparing two and three year-olds for stake races. A real local flavour will be included with the presence of Exeter native Lynne Farquhar. Lynne and Marg Skillings will be here representing the Milverton Suns ladies fast­ ball team. The Milverton club is a perennial contender for the Canadian ladies championship.
