The Three Links Hensali Senior
Citizens Club Met on Tuesday, for
a pot luck Christmas dinner, 52
members enjoyed a plentiful
spread of turkey and the trim-
mings.
During the business following,
invitations were received from
the kinsmen to attend a program
at the Bluewater Rest Home on
Monday, and an invitation from
the Kippen boas t Women's
Institute to a .luncheon at the
Legion Hall on January 18.

Twenty members and seven
guests enjoyed a demonstration
of Christmas decorations put on
by Mrs. Jean Durst of Seaforth at
the December meeting of the
Hensall Women's Institute held in
the Legion Hall on Wednesday.
Originality and the use of many
varying materials gave all many
ideas how to brighten our homes
for Christmas and make gifts for
others.
The business was conducted by
the president, Mrs. Cecil Pepper
'and the financial report showed a
balance of $135.39. A note of
appreciation from Eric Luther of
'the C.N.I.B. campaign was given
by Mrs. Carl Payne and a letter,
from the home economist was
read, regarding the next 4H
course, "Focus on Living",
Mrs, Nan Britton conducted a
sing-song of 'carols and
programme conveners were Mrs.
William Rogerson and Mrs.
Gladys Coleman, Hostesses, Mrs.
Rosa Harris and Mrs. Annie Reid
served an excellent Christmas
lunch. A few antiques were shown
during the social hour,
At the end of the programme,
Mrs. Eileen Rannie, Mrs. Winnie
Skea and Mrs. Elizabeth
Alexander presented the 4H
leaders with gifts in appreciation
of the work they had done with
the girls. Brenda Pepper
displayed her six certificate's
leading up to obtaining
Provincial Honours and was
given a gift for bringing this
honour to Hensall for the first
time.
A. C, W. Meets
St, Paul's A.C.W, resumed
their meetings after entertaining
at the Queensway Nursing Home.
The president, Mrs. Frank
Forrest, opened the meeting with
the "Members Prayer". Mrs.
Annie Reid read the scripture.
Boxes for the shut-ins were
looked after. Mrs. G.A. Anderson
gave the study book and then
closed the meeting with prayer.
Specie I Effects for Carol Service
On Sunday evening, the
congregations of both Hensall
and Chiselhurst gathered in the
Hensel' United Church for a
special carol service, The senior
choir, under the leadership of
Mrs. John Turkheim, sang two
anthems, "Noel, Noel" and "The
Promised One", For the carol
singing, duo projector screens
were set up, on one of which were
the words of the carols and the
other showed flash-backs of the
activities of the church during the
past year with special emphasis
on Christmas and winter scenes.
Commentaries on the origins of
the carols were given by Rev.
Don Beck making the whole
evening a most interesting oc-
casion.

Oscar Pfaff and Miss Margaret
Clark of Crediton on Thursday.
On Friday, their grandson and
his wife, Mr. & Mrs. Bill Bell of

the latter's mother, Mrs. Sam

Carmel Church packed boxes of
treats for shut-ins members on
Wednesday.
Tell stories
The fourth Sunday in Advent
included the White gift Service
and was conducted by Rev. Don
Beck. Susan Flynn lit the fourth
Advent candle signifying Joy and
the Children's Choir, under the
direction of Mrs, Pam Scot-
chmer, sang three numbers,
"Mary had a Lamb", "Still, Still,
Still" and "Christmas Candles".
In the place of a sermon, Rev.
Beck told a story in two parts
illustrating the conditions of
children 100 years ago and the
efforts of dedicated men to im-
prove their circumstances and
the circumstances of some
children of today, and todays
efforts to aid them.
Flowers in the sanctuary were
in memory of the late Gordon
Love donated by his family. A
Christmas Eve Communion
service will be conducted on
Saturday, December 24 at 7.30
p.m, The usual Sunday service
will be held on Christmas Day at
11 a.m,

first period Dave Consitt scored
the first goal, assisted by Brad
Stewart while the second period
was scoreless for Helisall. The
third period was exciting with
Brad Stewart scoring, assisted by
Jeffrey Rowe, Rowe scoring off
an assist by Brad Stewart, and
finally Rowe scoring unassisted.
Huron Park scored once in
each of the periods, Steve O'Neil
scored assisted by Robert
Minderlein in the first; Randy
Insley scored in the second period
assisted by Dennis Johnson
making the score 2.1 in favour of
Huron Park and Richard Lather
scored unassisted in the third

Bantams played Brussels in
Brussels. Scoring for Hensall
were Jamie McClinchey twice,
assisted by Paul Snlale, and
David Rowcliffe unassisted, but
Brussels outplayed them and the
final score was Brussels 7,
Hensall 3.
HOLD COMMUNION
Rev. Fox of Huron College
conducted service in Carmel
Presbyterian Church, Sunday
and dispensed the Holy
Sacrament. Miss Brenda Pepper
presided at the organ. The
flowers were placed in the church
in Memory of the late Gordon
Love by his wife and family.
