In provision with the Municipal Act R.S.O. 1970 Chapter 284
Section 516 (as amended) the 1977 school support list for
1978 taxes has been posted in the Clerk's office, Crediton on
the 24th day of October, 1977,
Complaints in the nature of request for additions or correc-
tions to or deletions from the list may be made by completing
and filing form obtainable at the office of the Clerk.
Because the office of the Clerk will be closed on November
11, the last day of filing forms for appeal of school support is
extended to November 14, 1977.

CENTRALIA
Rev, Harold Snell, Exeter was
in charge of the service in the
United Church Sunday morning
and delivered an inspiring
Message on the subject, "What
PINS Jesus Mean to You?"
Music for the service included
an anthem by the choir with Mrs.
Russell Wilson singing the
descant. Miss Faye Blair sang a
solo with organ accompaniment
by Mr. Douglas Gill. .
The offertory music was organ,
piano and guitar music with Mr.
Gill playing the organ ; Penny
Smith the piano and guitarists,
Harvey Smith and Rob Essery.
During the service Rev. Snell
introduced Terry Somerville, a
University of Western Ontario
student whose goal in life is to
become a United Church
minister. Mr. Somerville will be
a student supply in charge of the
services at Centralia and Zion
West. His duties will commence
this coming Sunday.
Persona Is
Miss Arlene Newcombe,
Drayton Plains, Michigan was a
guest for a few days at the home
of her sister and brother-in-law,
Mr. & Mrs. W.R. Essery and
family.
Mr. & Mrs. Karl Keller and
Tracy of London were Sunday
visitors with Mr. & Mrs.
Lawrence Hirtzel.

Zion Lutheran church held
their annual voter's meeting
Sunday October 30. President,
Ron Merner presided and Pastor
Mellecke opened the meeting
with a short meditation.
The nominating committee,
Reinhold Miller, Howard Datars,
Leonard Restemayer and Earl
Keller was in charge of the
election of officers as follows:,
president, Ron Merner; vice-
president, Hubert Miller;
secretary, Bill Becker;
treasurer, Earl Keller; elder,
Lloyd Willert; trustee, Ken
Rader; General financial
secretary, Lloyd Rader; mission
treasurer, Elgin Rader; Sunday
school superintendent, Don
Rader; assistant, John Becker;
Stewardship committee, Bill
Vandeworp and Charles Mar-
tene; Evangelism committee,
Aaron Restemayer, Roy Gibson,
Delmar Miller and Ernest
Miller; Education committee,
Howard Datars and Ray Van-

Several changes in the con-
stitution were approved. The
Youth of the church are to be in
charge of the annual reports.
4-H meeting
Dashwood 4-11 club 2 held their
sixth meeting at the community
centre, October 26 with 15 girls
present. Following the opening
exercises, the girls divided into
groups and made banana bread,
and pears Helene. Mrs. Earl
Keller discussed fruit shcirtcakes
and fruit puddings. After sam-
pling the .recipes the meeting
adjourned.

hear of outdoors
The October meeting of
Hurondale Women's Institute
was held at Usborne Central
School.
President Marian Dougall
opened the meeting with Opening
Ode and Mary Stewart Collect.
Plans were made for a bus trip
to Don Valley Parkway Toronto
Saturday November 5 for taping
of Tommy Hunter show.
November 26 is Achievement
Day for 4-H clubs at South Huron
High School.
Jean Pooley gave the Hospital
report and Lizzie Lamport the
Emergency report. Lois McFalls
and Ann Brodie gave highlights
of the area convention held
recently at Sandpiper Inn,
Vapastra.
Olive Hicks and Anna Keller
gave a report of W.I. Rally held
at Howick Community Centre.
Jean Mills convener of
Education and Cultural Activities
conducted the remainder of
meeting. Celia Thomson gave a
reading "Housecleaning" and
read a poem Thanksgiving.
Carl Mills, a local teacher
played several selections on the
bagpipes, and gave an interesting
talk and showed slides on outdoor
education.
Lizzie Lamport gave the Motto,
"When to speak your mind and
when to mind your speech.
Bernice Jeffery and Helen
Webber conducted contests.
Mrs. Hilton Ford, Exeter had
the pleasure of a 10 day visit from
her daughter and son-in-law Mr.
& Mrs. Don Freuchtel, Poplar
Bluff, Missouri.
Sunday guests at a potluck
supper at the Ford farm were Mr.
& Mrs. Freuchtel and Mrs. Hilton
Ford, Mr. & Mrs. Russ Broderick
and Mark, Mrs. Joyce Weber,
Mrs. Almira Ford, all of Exeter,
Mr. & Mrs. John Brintnell,

spent the weekend with Mr. &

Mrs. Walter Biesenthal,

week with Mr. & Mrs. Melvin
Stade and Sherrie and visited
with Mrs. Martha Miller in South
Huron hospital every day.
Robert Watson has returned
home from University hospital
where he underwent surgery.
Mrs. Adeline Kraft was guest of
honor Friday evening when
several of her nieces and
nephews treated her to dinner at
Bayview Tavern on the occasion
of her approaching 89th birthday,
October 31.
Well the spooks have come and
gone, little ones with a parent in
the background, big ones, All
were very orderly and pleasant.
Of all who called only three
carried UNICEF boxes which
was most surprising.
The Lutheran Womens
Missionary League held their
meeting Wednesday. Pastor
Mellecke took the topic. "How the
L.W.M.L, can contribute to
church growth." The fall rally
will be held at Tavistock
November 14, A tupperware
party will be held November 30 in '
the church basement to aid
medical missions. Mrs. Mayo
Mellecke and Mrs. Albert Miller
served lunch.
Mrs. Wilbur Stewart, London,
spent a few days with Mr. & Mrs.
Jack Gaiser, Kim and Lyn, last
week.
