and Mrs. McCall was Emcee for
the variety program. There were
readings by Barbara Smith,
Cathy Hart and Kate McNabb.

Karen and Diane Cox, Rick and
Gerald Knight, Cathy Hart and
Barbara Smith. Dance numbers
by Leanne Armstrong and Carla

twenty-four celebrants and Mrs.

behalf of the residents. The ladies
served cupcakes and tea to one
hundred and fifty residents and

Activities meeting of the Staffa
Womens Institute was held
Wednesday in the township hall
at Staffa' with Mrs., Bill Mahon
and Mrs. Alvin Barbour the
hostesses.
Mrs. Charles Douglas presided
and following the opening read a
poem "A Day To Be Happy".
Mrs. Bill Mahon showed pictures
and had a voice recording of her
nephew, who had enjoyed a canoe
trip in August from Yellowknife
to Bathhurst in the Arctic
Barrens, This proved most in-
teresting and was followed by a
recording oflArctic music both
ancient and modern,
Mrs. Evelyn Brown, Seaforth
displayed and demonstrated bush
babies made from cones and
dried flowers and weeds.
Roll call, a television com-
mercial which insults my in-
telligence was answered by 11
members.
