Both occurred on Saturday, the first when motor vehicles driven by Ronald Wilson, 32 Hillcrest Drive, and Tracy Campbell, 129 Andrew St., collided at the in- tersection of Main and Area persons on pilgrimage Of the 175 people that went on a pilgrimage to Lourdes last week, six were Canadians, The rest were Americans, including one priest stationed in Mexico. The three local people on the tour were Mr. & Mrs. Gordon Gignac and daughter, Mrs. Bill Giesen, Lucan. Nine years ago Mrs. Gignac was in a car ac- cident near Strathroy, She was a resident in St. Mary's Hospital, London ever since. The family drove to New York and caught the plane out of JFK airport. The tour lasted for eight days, during which Mrs. Gignac par- ticipated in the organized ac- tivities at Lourdes. She was kept in a place called a "hospis" and was cared for entirely by family and nurses who were on the tour. Although Mrs. Gignac had to be returned to St. Mary's Hospital on return, the family all agreed the trip was a wonderful experience. Bill Morley and Bruce Shaw were the winners in the two preliminary events and judge Cliff Ersman awarded the grand championship to the Usborne Reeve. A small amount of cash was taken in the breakin, which was reported on Thursday. Constable Jim Barnes was in charge of the investigation. WILLIAM T, KYLE William T. Kyle, Hensall passed away Monday, September 26, 1977 in South Huron Hospital, Exeter in his 74th year. He was the beloved husband of the late Florence M. Funeral service was held from the Bonthron Funeral Home, Hensall, Wednesday at 2 p.m, Rev. E. S. Stephens officiating, Interment in Baird's Cemetery, Stanley township, Pallbearers were Bob Lip- pington, Sandy Pepper, John Anderson, Bill Consitt, Morley Cooper and Garnet Allan, Flower bearers were Jamie Caldwell, Dana Btrztato, Todd Caldwell, Patrick Kyle, Missy Caldwell and Paula 130zzato, ROBERT LEE GINGERICH Suddenly as the result of a car accident On ThUrsday, Septernber 22nd, 1977, Hobert Lee Gingerich, beloved son of it and Verna May Gingerich his 19th year. Dear brother of Awards in the comic section went to Exeter Sunoco and clowns and to Eva Viva Knievel. Stephen Central School was judged the best school entry with Exeter Public School second. Debbie Bies rode the best decorated tricycle and Allan Nichols won a prize with his clown unicycle. In the poultry judging at the Exeter Fall Fair the veteran showman from RR 1, Dashwood Cliff Pepper was again the big winner with 24 red ribbons. His closest competition came from birds entered by Mrs. John McCart, Newbury who collected 20 red ribbons. J. B. Mills Goderich was the top exhibitor in bantam poultry with more than 20 first prizes, Next came George Tiernan, Dashwood and Jack Mayhew, RR 3, Clinton. Exeter youth is injured A 19-year-old Exeter youth remains in the intensive care ward of Victoria Hospital, Lon- don as the result of injuries sustained in a Friday afternoon highway collision. Donald McAuley, son of Mr. and Mrs. Gerald McAuley, sustained a severe concussion, internal injuries and lacerations when his vehicle collided with a van on county road 11 and 7 in Lambton County near Camlachie, The van was pulling out from an intersection when the collision occurred. McAuley, who was on his way home from Sarnia where he is taking a welding course, was taken to St. Joseph's Hospital in Sarnia and then transferred to the London hospital on Saturday. He had an operation on Sunday for his internal injuries. The youth was unconscious for three days following the accident. Brenda and Lisa at home. Pallbearers were: Harry and Michael Zandwiyk, Donald Mar- tin, Ray Widrick, Brad Clausius, Charles Gingerich. Interment in the Blake Mennonite Cemetery. MINA FOSTER At her residence, Zurich, On. tario, on Wednesday, September 21, 1977, Mina (Yost) Foster, beloved wife of the late Lang Foster, in her 91st year.
