The Women's Institute replied by mailing a book con- taining historical notes and present day pictures of Crediton, Ontario. The book was prepared by Mrs. Wilfred Mack and Mrs. Earl Haist. Miss Meg Robinson, teacher of Home Economics, lives at St. Albans, near Crediton, England. She read the book which the Institute sent, When Miss Robinson came to Canada to visit a friend at Teeswater, also a teacher of Home Economics, she wanted to meet the women who had prepared the book. Sunday she and her Teeswater hostess came to the home of Mr. & Mrs. Earl Heist. Mr. & Mrs, Mack were also present for a By MANUEL CURTS GREENWAY Rev. Evelyn Krueger, Owen Sound, was guest minister in the United Church Sunday. The captivating manner in which she presented her message won for her the attentive respect of the congregation present. Mr. & Mrs. Stuart Bullock, Brenda and Heather enjoyed the picturesque Niagara Falls last weekend. Mr. & Mrs. Edwin Hartle and four daughters of Stonewall, Manitoba, and Mrs. Viola Scott, Ravenswood, were recent visitors with Mr. & Mrs. George Gollen. Weekend visitors with Mr. & Mrs. Clare Reid, were Mr. & Cliff Nowitski, Brenda and time of pleasant fellowship and sharing. Miss Robinson extended an invitation to attend the cen- tennial of St. Boniface celebrations in 1980. Personals Mr. & Mrs. Emmery Fahrner enjoyed a visit with Lt. Col. and Mrs. Robert Palmer at their summer home on Weller Bay near Trenton. Mrs. Ed Hendrick has returned home from St. Joseph's Hospital. Mrs. Vera Bullock and Mrs. Mary Gower were in Willowdale with Mr. & Mrs. Edward Darbey. They were guests at the Darbey- Barrick wedding, visited the McAllisters at Unionville and the Auciellos at Stouffville, Members of the Women's Institute attended a showing of "George Washhington Slept Here" at the Huron Country Playhouse last Tuesday evening. Recent evening callers at the home of Mr. & Mrs, Will Darryl, Mississauga. Sunday visitors with Evelyn and Manuel Curts were Mr. & Mrs. Dan Watkin, Guelph. Of interest to this community: Violet Sharp, Hamilton, is now a resident of Chateau Gardens, Parkhill. Mrs. Nelson Rock, Parkhill, is a patient in the Strathroy Hospital. Lloyd Brophey, Chateau Gardens, and Harold Brophey, Centenary, twin brothers, were guests at several family gatherings during the past week, held to celebrate their ? birthday anniversaries. Ken Eagleson was M.C. at the reception of his boyfriend's wedding held in the Taxandria Hall, Arkona, Friday evening. By the way: A woman may be as old as she looks, but a man is old if he doesn't. Neighbours, friends and relatives were at the home of Mr. & Mrs, Ross Langford, Grand Bend, Saturday,to celebrate their 35th wedding anniversary. Mr. & Mrs. Langford are the parents of Mrs. Ed Nethercott. Mr. & Mrs. Melvin Brown, Kitchener, and Mr. & Mrs. Clarence Moser, Palm Bay, Florida, called on friends in the village Sunday. Don Jeffery of Preston, Mrs. Mabel Jeffery and Mr, & Mrs. Harry Coates of Exeter visited Sunday with Mrs. Hazel Jeffery, Mr. & Mrs. Howard Rannie and family of Sarnia, Mr. & Mrs. Dennis Rowe spent the weekend at Chesley Lake.
