Mrs. Kenneth Hodgins
returned home the end of the
week following a trip to Europe
with The Pilgrim's Tours of
London. With her on the tour
were her sister-in-law Mrs.
Harold Mitchell and daughter
Linda Mitchell of West Lorne.
On July 3 the flight took them
from Toronto to Amsterdam and
on to London, England. From
there bus tours took them to
many points of interest - St.
Paul's Cathedral, the tower of
London, past Buckingham
Palace and Windsor Castle. Of
interest' was a visit to
Cheltenham and 'Monmouth
Among the castles visited was
Raglan over 800 yearS old. They
drove past the home of the late
William Williams who translated
to English the old familiar hymn
"0 Thou Great Jehovah."
Visits were made to several
eaStles ,along the Rhine river' and
a three day stop at the•BaltieSea
was very enjoyable. . • •
Mrs.'. Hodgins . was .greatly
impressed with the beauty 'of the
country and commented on the
beautiful roses.
On the return trip they flew
from Frankfurt to Amsterdam
and then to Toronto,

held in Lucan United Church on
Thursday night.

family and friends on Sunday.

visited on Sunday evening with

evening after holidaying for over

Miller-Leveque wedding in
Sarnia United Church and the
reception at the Recreation
Centre in Sarnia on Friday
evening.
Miss Margaret MacLaren of
Scotland, Mr, & Mrs. Edwin
Miller spent last week at Arden
and Douglas, During the week
Miss Barbara Miller of Perth
visited with Mr. & Mrs. Miller
and Miss MacLaren, The two
girls then went to Ottawa.
Mrs. Glenn Rohde, Danny and
Tammy attended a birthday
party on Saturday at the home of
Mrs. Susan Kingma of Exeter for
her son Michael who was four
years old. On Monday Mrs. Roh-
de, Danny and Tammy visited
with Mr. & Mrs. William Baker of
London,

Rodgerson, Hamilton, has
graduated from the University of
McMaster with a Bachelor of
Arts degree in music, She is the
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Hugh
Davis, Exeter, and is a graduate
of SHDHS.

attended the 25th' wedding
celebrations on Saturday night
for Mary and Bob Latta held at
the Ilderton Arena and for
Shirley and George Noyes at the
'mean Legion.
The Clandeboye Women,'s
Institute were sponsors for a
group of 60 people from Clan-
deboye and Lucan area to attend
the Huron Country Playhouse on
Wednesday night to see the
"Rogers and Hart musical
"Babes in Arms."
They travelled by school bus
plus two cars. After the play they
dined at the Moulin Rouge
Restaurant at Grand Bend and
all reported a most enjoyable
evening.
Joan and Peter Banks, Krista
and Cindy of Brights Grove,
spent the weekend with Joan's
NURSE — Mary Anne Pertschy,
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Stefan
Pertschy, graduated recently from
the Lambfon College school of
nursing in Sarnia. While a student
at the college, she was a member
of the student council and 'class
president for the class of '77.
Mary Anne, who is a graduate of
SHDHS, has accepted a position
with Methodist Hospital, New
Orleans, Louisiana.

and boarded with Mrs, Simpson,
