It's unusual grain and knots as well as occasional earth mineral and pitch streaks provide color variations which give each piece of pine furniture a one-a-a-kind quality. Because pine is soft, the marks of age and use will enhance it's beauty and charm. Even the slight opening of the grain which may appear in time will add to the character of pine furniture. The softness of pine also allows the furniture maker's finishes to penetrate deeply to create a warm mellow patina, pleasing in appearance and to the touch. Each piece of pine furniture has its own unique character-no two are alike. Ont.
