DESJARDINE — In loving memory
of my sons, Byron who passed away
August 14, 1970 and Herman who
passed away January 23, 1971.
The shock that we received that day
No one can ever know
God needed you up in Heaven boys
A beautiful light 'to shine
So out of this whole world
If they could have spoken before they
died.
These are the words they would have
replied,
This life for me has truly passed
I loved you all to the very last
Weep net for me but courage take
And love each other, for my name
sake,
Lovingly remembered by mother,
brothers and sister, 1p
HECKMAN — In loving memory of a
dear wife, Marjorie Jean, mother
and grandmother, who passed away
two years ago, January 4th, 1975.
We stood beside your bedside,
Our hearts were'crushed and sore,
We tended you with love and care,
Till we could do no more.
In tears we saw you suffer,
And slowly fade away,
And God kows how much we miss
you,
Gone two years ago today.

"The year looks promising!"
That was a comment made by
Exeter Mayor Bruce Shaw in his
inaugural address to council,
Tuesday, while adding he would
encourage constructive criticism
and innovative ideas from
members.
He told the four new members
of council that he was expecting
significant contributions from
them during their term and said
that hopefully the returning
members would also find a sense
of achievement and fulfillment in
office.
"In keeping with the
philosophy established during the
last two years, each committee
under the direction of a dynamic
and concerned chairman will
provide council with plans based
on a budget and an activity
program," he said. "Planning
should begin immediately so that
we, as a council, know where we
are headed and how much it is
going to cost to get there."
In outlining some of the needs
of the community, Shaw said the
public works committee should
plan some sidewalk work that has
been neglected because of
budgetary restrictions, and the
planting of trees to replace some
of the 50 or more destroyed
during last •year's ice storm.
He noted that the property
