The program had been prepared by Christian ladies from Latin Americo. TEMPLEMAN STAFFA The third meeting of the Staffa Dough Dough's was held at the home of Mrs. Arthur Smale, the assistant leader, Saturday. After opening the meeting, members prepared Brown Batter Mrs. Spencer Jeffery discussed the recipes required for this club. Record hook covers were discussed, Mrs. Jeffery demonstrated the difference between kneaded and batter dough. Mrs. Smale had the Brown Batter Rolls baked for everyone to enjoy. Mrs, Miller closed the meeting with a brief prayer for the Christian workers in Japan and Taiwan. The Easter meeting will be held in the Sunday School room, April 16, following a pot-luck dinner at 12:30 o'clock. Church The sacrament of Holy Com- munion was held at Cromarty Presbyterian Church, Sunday afternoon. The Rev. Wilfred Mrs. Jim Miller presiding, The scripture from Matthew was read in unison, Mrs. Miller gave the meditation and prayer. The topic, the second article on Gatt-Fly, was taken by Mrs. Mervin Dow and Mrs. Charles Douglas, Mrs. T, L. Scott, the secretary, read the report of the February meeting. Eight members answered the roll call by naming a church or kindergarten in Japan or Taiwan. The offering was received and dedicated by Mrs. Dow. Mrs. Calder McKaig gave the treasurer's report. Cards and visits were recorded. • Invitations were read from Thames Road U.C.W, to attend their Thankoffering meeting April 5 and from Knox Church, Mitchell, W.M.S, to attend their Spring Thankoffering service on April 25. Both meetings are at 8 p.m. + + + Current events were given by everyone. Mrs. Douglas read the Japanese version of the 23rd Psalm. Programme I of the study' of Japan and Taiwan was presented • by Mrs. Calder McKaig, comparing the Christian Church in Japan and Taiwan. She • Jarvis spoke on the theme "Tell and Show." The guest soloist, Mrs. Marie Douglas of Wingham, sang Some Morning. Previous to the church service, the minister paid tribute to the work of a former minister, Rev. Samuel Kerr, who died in Stratford hospital, Saturday, Personals The sympathy of the com- munity is extended to the wife and family of the late Mervin Nairn who passed away last week. By MRS. ROBERT LAING CROMARTY At their March meeting Monday night, the Ladies Aid of Cromarty Presbyterian Church decided to hold their annual strawberry supper on the fourth Wednesday in June. Mrs, Robert Laing presided for the meeting which was held at the home of Mrs. Mervin Dow, The worship service opened with a poem, Hello, followed by a hymn with Mrs, Thos, Scott ac- companying on her autoharp. Mrs. Scott and Mrs. Dow were in charge of devotions based on Psalm' 98. A quiz on names was enjoyed and the roll call was answered with a book exchange. The secretary, Mrs. Jim Miller read several thank-you notes for gifts. Following a contest, Triplet Time, the meeting closed with Blest Be the Tie, and prayer.
