Christmas came
to Pearlly Street
By RICHIE OOSTERBASCH

Precious Blood
It was almost Christmas and
every kid on our street was so
excited they didn't know what
they were doing. It was nothing
to be alarmed about because
they did it every year and plus I
did it too.
Anyway it was only one week
before the big day and I was so
happy because it was Christmas
and our school would have the
Christmas hq,lidays for two
weeks.
Our whole street had
decarations but our set of
decarations had one thing more
than the others had. We had the
nativity scene. We put it right in
the window so everyone could
behold it and they thought it was
very differant because they had
never seen anything like it
before, that was so pretty.
Mrs. Jerimy from across the
street, I thought was kind of
peculiar because every night she
would sit at the' window staring
at our nativity scene. She looked
at it as though she were
hypnotized or something.
It was finally Christmas and I
was amazed at all the presents
that were under the Christmas
tree. Mom, Dad and Steve got up
and we had a very happy
Christmas. I was looking
forward to next Christmas so I
could forget everything and
enjoy myself again next year.
The Christmas
Spirit
By DON STUCKLESS
J.A.D. McCurdy
On Christmas Day when I awoke,
I looked outside to see a joke.
The snow was gone, the ground
was green,
A green Christmas, is what I
mean.
I ran downstairs and got on the
phone
And asked the weatherman,
"Where's the snow,"
He replied to me, "Don't worry
son,"
Snow will be here as soon as
noon's done,
I waited till noon for the snow to
come down,
The all of a sud. I lost my big
frown,
I saw the w stuff, I could
even h t,
Now I' ack in to the
Ch mas spirit.

up the window until Mr. Brown
put out that ugly cigar. Mr.
Brown and his son were very
stubborn.
Jane was asleep in the back
against the window with her nose
plugged.
All of a sudden the car started
swerving. Mr. Brown leaned
forward and hung on tightly to
the steering wheel. Jane awoke
and did her seat belt up. Johney
and Jamey clung to their
mother.
Oh, they were okay, no, they
hit another ice patch. They went
flying into the ditch with a thud.

Rudolph the Red
Nose Reindeer
By GREG O'TOOLE

Precious Blood
One year before Christmas old
Santa was helping Ding and Dong
with the toys. Just then Dasher,
Dancer,' Prancer, Cupid, Comet,
Vixen, Donner and Blitzen - "the
reindeer". They left Rudolph all
alone.
The other reindeer were
playing games, Just then a great
fog came up and Santa said
"Now how am I going to see
through this fog?" Then he saw a
light coming from the bush
where Rudolph had been hiding
and Sanda said "Where is that
light coming from'?"
Dong said that it is coming
from the bush. So Santa looked in
the bush and found Rudolph and
said "Will you guide my sleigh
with your nose so bright?"
Rudolph said "Yes I will," So up
went Rudolph to the front of the
sleigh and now on Christmas
night look up and if you see a
light you know who it is.

The snow was falling gently as
we drove off in our car;
We were on our way to
Grandma's but it really wasn't
far!
We were just about to turn the
bend to where grandma's
house would be; •
When all of a sudden a snow
storm came up and there
wasn't a thing we could see!
My father switched the lights on
and off to warn other cars
where were;
And everyone was cold; We
couldn t get much colder!
We were just about to give up
hope;
And thought we'd have to stay
there all night;
When down the road we saw
some lights and a police car
came into sight!
He helped us, all the way to
grandma's;
He was really very kind, We hope
we hadn't troubled him;
But he said he didn't'mind!
What a jolly time we had at
Grandma's;
With turkey and potatoes for
dinner;
But then we had to leave;
Before another spinner! We said
good-bye to grandma and
kissed her on each cheek;
And then as we were leaving we r ry.
heard her call out "Come back' „
again next week!"
