deboye and Lucan United

Darling's sister, Terri-lou Masse.
The group returned to our area on
Monday, December 13.
Jodi Inson, the seventeen-
month-old daughter of Marg and
Bill Inson spent this past
weekend with her grandparents,
Mr. and Mrs. Wilfred Hogan.
Jodi's parents attended the
Christmas Party and Dance held
for employees of the Dashwood
Industries Plant,where Mr. Inson
works, on this past Saturday
evening.
It has been a long time since
we've heard of Mt. Carmel's
soldier, Klaus Jeromkin, but he
has finally returned to this happy
hamlet on this past weekend.
Klaus, the son of Mr. and Mrs.
Nick Jeromkin Jr., will be
spending his Christmas leave
with his family at the Jeromkin's
cottage near Lake Mackenzie,
The brother of Mrs. Charles
Dietrich, Father Basil Glavin of
Vancouver joined his sister and
the rest of the Dietrich family on
this past Friday night and spent
the weekend in Mt. Carmel with
his mother, Mrs. Mary Glavin.
Monday, December 13, Mrs.
Glavin and her ,son returned to
London where Mrs. Glavin will
stay at the Marian Villa. Father
Glavin is continuing on to his
Vancouver home.
Entertaining guests was also
done by our family on this past
weekend and a poker player
Would have been happy with the
"full house" that we had Sunday,
December 12. My grandmother
Finch joined us and brought
along two of her superb home-
made pies to grace our Sunday
slipper,
Along with her came my
mother's sister, Marge Shepherd,
my father's sister, Jeannette,
and her husband, Bob Scott. One
more visitor who completed the
group was .Roy Berger, a long-
time friend of mine who has
recently taken up residence in
London after spending over a
year in Montreal.
Roy, a free'lance journalist,
found the difference between
Montreal and Mt. Carmel rather
startling but had no complaints
until he and the rest of our
visitors spent over tmo hours
returning to London through
blizzardous weather Sunday
night.
I do not derive any sadistic
pleasure from telling anyone that
I am going to Florida, so instead I
will pretend that it is with deep
regret that I am leaving these
happy realms of snow and ice for
three weeks,
Contrary to popular practice, I
am not going with money from a
student loan but from hard-
earned money made as a
reporter! The' people at the
Times-Advocate office will be
lending an eager ear to anyone
with newsworthy tips, so there is
no need for the Mt. Carmel news
to take a vacation too!
Overcome your bashfulness
and call them at 235-1331. Here's
wishing everyone an early but
heart felt Merry Christmas and
Happy New Year!
