entertained Sunday evening by
their family to dinner at the
Garage in honour of their 40th
wedding anniversary.
After dinner they spent the
evening at the home of their son
and daughter-in-law, Jim and
Audrey Scott, Clandeboye,

daughter and son-in-laW, Nancy
and Sam Taylor and children
phoned from their new home in
Swift Current, Saskatchewan to
Offer their best wishes.

entertained Wednesday evening
at the Benmiller Inn by the B.P.

Right Reverend David Ragg,
Bishop of Huron, made his first
visit to St. Mary's Church,
Brinsley, Sunday, November 28,
when he confirmed a class of 15
young people from the
congregations of Parkhill, Ailsa
Craig and Brinsley,
Rev, Fred Ralph presented the
following candidates for con-
firmation; Lee Rowe, Leslie
Rowe, Kevin Morgan, David
Dixon, Darlene Drury, Bonnie
Drury, Helen Drury, Lynne
Rowe, Lori Morgan, Dale
Gooding, Martha Wright, Bonnie
Paton, Karen Waller, Julie
Edward and Marsha Allen.
The Bishop addressing his
remarks mainly to the con-
firmation class, likened life to a
race wherein each participant
must give his very best in order
to come out a winner.
During the ofcering, Misses
Patricia MacDougald and
Barbara Hocking sang a duet,
accompanied by the church
organist, Mrs. Lois Hodgins.
After the service, all were
invited to remain for a lunch
which was served by the church
ladies.

Club, "The Cereal Shelf" with a
party on Sunday November 21, in
the afternoon.
The exhibit for Achievement
Day was made. The party ended
with a supper and an exchange of
gifts. The party was held at the
home of Linda Vanneste,

were saddened to hear of the
passing of a lifelong resident of
Kippen Miss Jean Ivison,
Mrs. Robert Gemmell has been
hospitalized with a broken ankle.
