ADVANCE POLL -- MUNICIPAL OFFICE
406 MOin St,
E, CarscoMen Mrs, Elizabeth bell, Poll CrI(
The provincial government have indicated they are con-
taining their assistance to municipalities by a nine percent in-
crease.
If elected your mayor, my endeavour will be to keep our
tax increase to a maximum of no more than five percent. This
will take some hard bargaining, but must be done.
Also, i have a great concern for the number of jobs lost.
with the closing of an industry this past year. Therefore, I
would try to revitalize .our Industriol Commission. and keep:
after the government for guidance to look' for more. industry
which would mean more jobs and a better assessment base.
These things must be pursued for the good of all our
people.
I ask for your support on December 6.
With thanks,
