versus Pee Wees game which
was won. 1-0 by the parents.
The executive of the club was
Very pleased to see the good
attendance by both parents and
players and on their behalf I
would like to thank all those who
participated in thi% event and to
especially thank the parents for
the delicious array of dishes we
all enjoyed at the pot-luck lun-
cheon.
Following the exhibition games
the awards were presented in the
cafeteria, Those who received
most valuable player awards
were as follows: Squirts, Mark
Winters; Atom Adventurers,
Joey Martens; Atom Spitfires,
Steve Coates; Mosquitoes, Dave
Shaw; Pee Wees, Doug Brooks;
Bantams, Tom De Boeck.
Each successful player
received a trophy and medallion.
I would like to thank the
following local businesses for
their donation of a trophy:
Victoria and Grey, Squirts; Bank
of Nova Scotia, Atom Adven-
turers; Royal Bank, Atom
Spitfires; Gaiser-Kneale,
Mosquitoes; Discount Dave's,
Pee Wees; Canadian Tire,
Bantams.
Campbell's Jewellery also
donated a most valuable players
trophy for the senior team, the
Centennials and this was
awarded to John Muller,
The team of the year trophy
which was donated by Huron
Tractor and was awarded for the
first time last year was won this
year by the Atom Adventurers
coached by Damian Solomon and
Les Webb.
The club enjoyed a good season
and has made more progress as
far as the number of teams and
number of players are con-
cerned. There was an im-
provement in tournament par-
ticipation,
The Atom Adventurers made a
good showing in the Exeter
Centennial Cup tournament in
July.
The Mosquitoes coached by Joe
Laurie and John Rasenberg won
the runners-up trophy in the
Mosquito tournament in Seaforth
and also participated against top-
notch teams in another tour-
nament at Richmond Hill in
September. The Pee Wees took
part in the Pee Wee tournament
at Goderich.
During my term as president, it
gave me great pleasure to be able
to see several games at the dif-
ferent levels and it was very
gratifying to see the individual
progress achieved by very many
of the players over the season.
It gave me great satisfaction
to notice players as they became
more confident in their skills and
increased their enjoyment of the
game.
The credit for these overall and
,individual achievements must go

What should I look for on an insurance contract?
The basic principle is that since the policy is a contract,
left out of the contract will be covered. Be sure that all
you want protected are in fact on the contract.
Last 'month I cashed a cheque for $100 at my bank.

Would I be at fault according to law if I had not told the

Yes. You'd be guilty of fraud under the Criminal Code. You

If a person attempts to beat me up, when can I defend
myself?
Whenever you are assaulted, you may retaliate in self-
defence. You may not use excessive force.
My wife was recently badly injured in an auto accident
,
and I would like to sue the other driver for damages. Is this
possible?
You may sue the other party for certain losses stemming from
your wife's injuries. These include medical injuries and the loss of
her services and companionship. Naturally, the other party must
be proved to have been negligent.

to the coaches of the different

my appreciation for their in-
terest, commitment, and hard
work.
My appreciation must also be
extended to the members of the
executive who helped in the
organizing and operation of the
club's affairs. They donated a lot
of time and energy and I thank
them for their support, reliability
and their perseverance in staying
with• the club and bringing its
activities to a successful con-
clusion.
My thanks also go to the
parents who came out to see their
children play and who helped to
provide rides for the away
games. '
No soccer season of course can
go smoothly without the good
officiating provided by those who
generously donated their time.
Thanks to Al DeHaan, Bill Smits,
Joe Laurie, Dave Zyluk, John
Rasenberg, George Eisenschink
and others who helped in these
duties.
Thanks also to Dashwood
Industries, Kongskilde Ltd. and
Exeter Ford Ltd. for their
generous assistance during the
season.
Most important, however, is
the thanks to all the players
without whom there would be no
soccer, Thank you for the hours
of enjoyment you provided and
for the help you have provided in
selling raffle tickets.
I hope you enjoyed the season
and the Executive and myself
look forward to having you back
next season.
