The executive of the club was Very pleased to see the good attendance by both parents and players and on their behalf I would like to thank all those who participated in thi% event and to especially thank the parents for the delicious array of dishes we all enjoyed at the pot-luck lun- cheon. Following the exhibition games the awards were presented in the cafeteria, Those who received most valuable player awards were as follows: Squirts, Mark Winters; Atom Adventurers, Joey Martens; Atom Spitfires, Steve Coates; Mosquitoes, Dave Shaw; Pee Wees, Doug Brooks; Bantams, Tom De Boeck. Each successful player received a trophy and medallion. I would like to thank the following local businesses for their donation of a trophy: Victoria and Grey, Squirts; Bank of Nova Scotia, Atom Adven- turers; Royal Bank, Atom Spitfires; Gaiser-Kneale, Mosquitoes; Discount Dave's, Pee Wees; Canadian Tire, Bantams. Campbell's Jewellery also donated a most valuable players trophy for the senior team, the Centennials and this was awarded to John Muller, The team of the year trophy which was donated by Huron Tractor and was awarded for the first time last year was won this year by the Atom Adventurers coached by Damian Solomon and Les Webb. The club enjoyed a good season and has made more progress as far as the number of teams and number of players are con- cerned. There was an im- provement in tournament par- ticipation, The Atom Adventurers made a good showing in the Exeter Centennial Cup tournament in July. The Mosquitoes coached by Joe Laurie and John Rasenberg won the runners-up trophy in the Mosquito tournament in Seaforth and also participated against top- notch teams in another tour- nament at Richmond Hill in September. The Pee Wees took part in the Pee Wee tournament at Goderich. During my term as president, it gave me great pleasure to be able to see several games at the dif- ferent levels and it was very gratifying to see the individual progress achieved by very many of the players over the season. It gave me great satisfaction to notice players as they became more confident in their skills and increased their enjoyment of the game.
