Huron Hospital Women's
Auxiliary.

film on child abuse which was
made in the United States and
was based on true facts,
MR. AND MRS. DAVID CHAPPEL
Gold daisies and white gladioli, along with peach bows tied to white
candelabra formed the setting, in St. James Anglican Church, St. Marys
on July 31, 1976 for the wedding of Debra Ann Lancaster and David
Lewis Chappel. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wilbert Lan-
caster, St, Marys and the groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Wilbert
Choppel, RR 1 Woodharn, Rev. Robert Crocker officiated with the
cousin of the bride Rev. Osborne Lancaster assisting at the ceremony.
Mrs. Janis Kapp, London, friend of the bride was matron of honor and
Miss Cheryl Pratt and Mrs. Margaret Schrader, were bridesmaids, The
best man was Alvin Chappel and ushers were Dennis Brock and Wayne
Chappel. After a honeymoon in Kentucky and Tennessee the couple is
residing at RR 1, Woodham.

The Huron social worker said a
1974 survey showed 12 child abuse
or neglect cases in the county and
he suggested there would be as
many or more not reported,
This film is now being shown in
schools throughout the county in
an attempt to get facts of more
unreported incidents.
President Mrs., Tom Mac-
Millan was in charge of the
business meeting, Mrs. Carf
Tann reported that receipts from
the recent Tag Day were in ex-
cess of $1,390,
Plans were completed for the
upcoming rummage sale. It will
be held at the Exeter Legion Hall
on Friday, October 29 from 10
a.m. to 8 p,m. A town-wide pickup
will take place on Thursday,
October 28,
Mrs. Doug Harrison reported
15 new volunteers bringing the
total of Candy Stripers to 33 and
15 have completed 100 hours of
service.
Clinic volunteers for October
are Mrs. V. Pineombe and Mrs
H. 'Taylor and for November Mrs.
F. Skinner and Mrs. W. Thomson.
Two Auxiliary members will be
attending a three-day conference
in Toronto later this- month,
The executive will be meeting
on. Monday; October 18 at 2:30
p.m.

Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, Parkhill was the setting for the
September 11, 1976 marriage of Mary Rose Buggy and Ronald David
Bowers, Mr. and Mrs. Martin Buggy, Parkhill are parents of the bride
and the groom's parents are Mr. and Mrs. Frederick Bowers, Crediton.
Father Carauna officiated. The bridal attendants were Monica
O'Hanley, Beatrice Masschelein, Carolyn Lagerwerf and Cathy Bowers
and the best man was Paul Truemner. The flower girl was Lisa McCor-
mick and Robert Bowers was ring bearer. Guests were ushered by Rick
Bowers, Tony Buggy and Peter Wuerth. After a trip to Northern On-
tario, the couple, has taken up residence in Huron Park, Pix by Peake
