The Lucan-Ilderton Jets en-
joyed a very successful weekend
coming up with two successive
victories over the London Kings.
On Ilderton ice, Friday night,
the Jets scored a decisive 4-1 win
while the next night at the London
Gardens they were forced to
come up with a last minute goal

Stratford Perths will supply the
opposition. Sunday afternoon
they travel to Walkerton to meet
the Durham Huskies.
After Friday's win over the
Kings, Jets manager Don Urb-
shott said his club came up with
an exceptional team effort. He
added, "everybody played very
well".
The Jets held a 3-0 lead after
the first two periods of play and
kept London off the scoresheet
until the seven minute mark of
the final session,
The first goal came at 4.24 of

the net on a shot from the point
by Barry Baynharn. Larry Haugh
passed the puck from the corner
back to Baynham.
The third goal of the night
came from the stick of Randy
Roth. Terry Johnson and Don
Carter set Roth loose at the blue
line and the former U.S. college
star wasted little time in decking
London goalie Ted Ouimet out of
position.
The only London score of the
game came at 7.02 of the final
period and was fired by Bob
Buchanan from outside the
blueline while the Kings were one
man short and the Jets had two
