The Huron County board ap-
proved one year contracts
Monday night.
Custodians at 13 public schools
and the board's administrative
office will receive pay increases
averaging 14.7 percent.
Salaries will range from $8,000
to $11,000, depending on school
size and man-hours required.
Some large schools have union
workers while smaller ones have
contract workers.
The new contracts will cost
$157,5550 in the 1975-76 school
year beginning September 1,
compared with $137,350 last year.
Five senior members of the
board's administration office
received increases averaging 14
percent. The raises, also ef-
fective September 1, will cost the
board $77,700 compared to $68,100
last year. The salaries range
close to $15,000.
5 Chief custodians at the board's
'five high schools received in-
creases averaging about 18 per-
cent which will cost the board
$55,500 in 1975-76. Chief
custodians are not union mem-
bers and the increase brings their
salaries to between $11,000 and
$11,700.
Other high school custodians
are union members and are on a
contract that does not expire until
next year.
In addition, nine non-union
clerical workers at the ad-
ministration office and in the
schools received increases
ranging from six to nearly 20
percent.
Office staff, whose salaries
currently are from $5,300 to $6,600
annually, will receive from $5,600
to $8,100 beginning September 1:
