1. Dimensions: wheelbase not less than 40" with
overall length not greater than 80"
- road clearance of at least 3"
- wheels not greater than 10" in diameter
- maximum weight of car and driver 200 lbs.,
(no extra weights allowed).
- there must be an adequate braking system to
stop both back wheels or effective method of
stopping.
2. All drivers must wear some type of protective
helmet.

The Crediton pee wees put up a
valiant effort in the final Western
Ontario Athletic Association
series against Seaforth but fell
one run short in the final game,
After losing the opening game
of the best-of-three set, the
Crediton youngsters bounced
back. Wednesday with a 5-4
victory but dropped a 10-9
decision in the deciding contest.
In Wednesday's decisive test,
Crediton rallied for four runs in
the top of the seventh frame to tie
the score only to have Seaforth
come back with a run which was
the winner in the bottom of the
last inning,
Tony Underhill's triple was the
big blow to score the first
Crediton marker in the opening
frame. Andy Nedza and Steve
Dinney also singled.
In the Crediton third during a
three run surge, Steve Dinney
tripled, Tom Dinney cracked a
double and Tony Underhill, Andy
Nedza and Ralph Wells con-
tributed singles,
Tony Underhill with his third
hit of the game scored another

practice set
Football practice at South
Huron District High School will
get underway Monday slight at 7
p.m. at the school field,
Junior coach Doug Ellison asks
all boys 15 years of age and under
eligible for the junior club to
attend the first workout. The
same call goes out to older
students from senior coach Ron
Bogart.
Crediton run in the sixth, The
final four run rally in the seventh
was 'powered by six hits.
Getting the final Crediton
safeties were Jeff Brand, Tim
O'Neill, Ralph Wells, Tom
Dinney, Steve Dinney and Andy
Nedza. Tom Dinney took care of
the pitching duties for Crediton.
Two runs in the seventh inning
enabled Crediton to pull out
Wednesday's 5-4 victory. With
Seaforth leading 4-3,Tom Dinney
opened the Crediton seventh with
a triple. Jerry Dewan tied the
score with a single and rode home
with the game winning run on a
double from the bat of Ralph
Wells.
Crediton hit the scoreboard for
the first time in the first frame
when Andy Nedza doubled. Steve
Dinney drew a walk and Tony
Underhill cracked a single.
The other marker for the
winners crossed the plate in the
fifth when Andy Nedza singled
and came around on a similar hit
delivered by Dave McVeeney.
The Crediton bantams won the
Western Ontario Athletic
Association bantam baseball
championship Sunday with a
close 7-6 win over Chesley.
It was the second victory in the
best-of-three series for the
Crediton club. After taking the
first game a week earlier,
Crediton wastheld tol a 5-5 draw by
Chesley Wednesday night.
Future competition in Ontario
Baseball Association for the
Crediton youngsters will be
announced within a few days.
On the Crediton field, Sunday
afternoon, two runs in the bottom
of the eighth inning were enough
to provide the narrow margin of
victory.
With one out Dennis Pfaff
slashed a long triple and Dennis
Preszcator followed with a solid
two base hit ..iand he eventually
scored on an infield out.
The first Crediton marker
came in the opening inning when
Darrell Preszcator singled,moved
to second on a walk and scored on
a single from the bat of Rick
Govers.
In the Crediton fourth Darrell
Preszcator again singled, Dennis
Pfaff and Rick Govers singled
and all were able to score with
the help of a couple of bases on
balls.
The other Crediton score was
chalked up in the seventh on Paul
Gaiser's single and a double
delivered by Randy Parsons.
With Crediton leading 7-5 going
into the ninth, Chesley, scored
one run but Paul •Gaiser on the
mound for the eventual winners
was able to retire the side.
Perry Pooley was the starting
Crediton pitcher. He allowed
three runs and four hits in four
innings. Gaiser tossed the
remaining five frames and gave
'up three and five base hits.
In the second game of the
series in Chesley Wednesday, the
home team scored one run in the
bottom of the ninth to tie the
score at 5-5 and extend the series
to Sunday.
The score was close from start
to finish. Crediton scored twice in
the first inning as Paul Gaiser
and Randy Parsons singled and
Darrell Preszcator slammed out
a triple.
In the second DennisIPreszcator
singled and was able to score on a
couple of fielder's choices. Paul
Pooley led off the Crediton fifth
Thursday night, the Exeter
Royals travelled to Bryanston
and grabbed a 6-4 victory in eight
innings. Brian Hodgins single
chased Ray Lumsden home with
the winning run in the top of the
eighth. This climaxed a Royal
comeback as they trailed
Bryanston 4-3 in the seventh.
Exeter jumped on starter Stan
Hodgins for two runs in the first
inning as Ron Bogart singled,
Ray Lumsden reached base on an
error and both scored on Terry
Bourne's single.
Bryanston got one run back in
the second. Exeter went ahead 3-
1 in the fifth as Paul McKnight
singled and Ron Bogart doubled
to score him.
Bryantston narrowed the gap
to one with a run in the fifth and
added two more in the last of the
sixth to take the lead for the first
time 4-3.
Paul McKnight led off the
seventh with a single and scored
on Ron Bogart's double.
Ray Lumsden led off the big
eighth inning for the Royals with
a triple to left field and with two
out, Brian Hodgins singled to put
the Royals ahead. Jim Rolph
doubled to score Hodgins and put
the Royals ahead 6-4.
Brian Hodgins went the
distance allowing 10 hits and
striking out five. Stan Hodgins
took the loss allowing 11 hits and
striking out four,
Friday night the Royals went to
Beechwood and romped to a 12-4
win.
Beechwood opened the score in
the first inning with a single run.
The Royals tied it in the second as
Terry Bourne walked and scored
on Brian Hodgins single.
with a triple and counted when
Randy Parsons singled. •
The final Crediton score came
in the seventh when Paul Gaiser
tripled and came home on a
single from the bat of Darrell
Preszcator.
The Royals added three runs in
the third as Ron Bogart singled,
Doug Pearson walked, Ray
Lumsden singled and Terry
Bourne singled to drive in two
runs. The Royals put the game
out of reach in the fourth as they
scored six runs to jump ahead 10-
1. Bob Parsons led off with a
walk. Andy Bierling, Randy
Decker singled, Ron doubled and
Ray Lumsden singled during the
rally.
The Royals again scored in the
sixth as Terry Bourne doubled
and Brian Hodgins long triple
scored him, Beechwood scored
one run in the sixth. The Royals
added one in the seventh as Andy,
Bierling tripled and scored on
Ron Bogart's single.
Beechwood completed the
scoring with two runs in the last
of the seventh. Brian Hodgins
went the distance allowing nine
hits and striking out 10.
Tuesday night the Exeter
Royals eked out a 1-0 win over
Huron Park. Royals righthander
Brian Hodgins allowed the Huron
Park team only one hit. Bob
Hodgin's bunt single in the first
inning was the only hit off the
offerings of Brian Hodgins. The
Royals scored the only run in the
first inning as Ron Bogart
reached first on a walk. He
moved to second on a passed ball
and scored as Doug Pearson
doubled to right field.
The Royals managed to hold
the 1-0 lead to preserve the vic-
tory. Brian Hodgins went the
distance allowing one hit and
striking out 11. Gord Mauer for
Huron Park pitched equally well
allowing six hits and striking out
two batters.
Paul Gaiser started on the
Crediton hill allowing two runs
and three hits in four innings.
Paul Pooley finished up going the
final frames. He gave up three
runs and four hits while fanning
11 opposing batters.
This win puts Exeter into
second place with a 20-10 record.
The last regular season home
game for the Royals will be
Thursday at 9:00 p.m. as they
host Ailsa Craig.
Come on out and support the
local team as they near the end of
the season.
Last week's Christmas theme
went- very well. The children
enjoyed exchanging their gifts
and eating their Christmas treats
of pull taffy and shortbread
cookies.
Monday afternoon the seniors
went canoeing with the helpful
advice of Mr. Mills. They enjoyed
this very much and extend their
thanks to Mr. Mills.
Wednesday morning the in-
termediate group had a tour of
the OPP station. They found the
tour very interesting and in-
formative.
This week everyone is busy
getting ready for the camp-out.
Wednesday the seniors went out
and set up camp. The juniors will
join the seniors for lunch today,
Thursday and come back in for
their afternoon session.
The intermediates are going to
join the seniors for -supper and
overnight. Friday morning both
groups will clean up and come
back to town in the afternoon.
