meeting of the UCW which took
the form of a picnic with Mrs,
Fred Penwarden as hostess at
her cottage in Grand Bend.
A smorgasbord pot luck supper
was enjoyed by the 20 ladies in
attendance. There was a short
business session followed by
contests and games.
This is an annual event and
appreciation was extended to
Mrs. Penwarden for her
hospitality.

Communion was noserved
during the service in the United
Church on Sunday morning and
Mr. & Mrs. Wesley Hodgson were
welcomed into church mem-
bership.
Mrs. Marko (the former Mary
Ann Stejaspot) accompanied
by her mother, Mrs. Frank
Stolaspol, London, were
Tuesday callers at the home of
Mrs. Lorne Hicks.
Mr. & Mrs. Ray Shoebottom
attended the Cadick-Hunter
wedding in Thorndale on Friday

cake and ice cream with a social,
hour rounded off a very enjoyable
