discussion followed.
At 11 a.m. a film by Dr. Moore
and Roy Bonnisteel was shown
in connection with "Dedication to
Missions Sunday".

Young Peoples, CGIT and
Fellowship Group presented
money to the Mission and Service
Fund treasurer, Ruth Skinner.
A surprise anniversary

attended the Woodham Sunday
School anniversary on Sunday.

Wednesday evening May 21 the
Women's Institute held their
meeting in the Community
Centre with the president, Mrs,
Cliff Kenney, in the chair.
Roll call was answered by
naming a wild flower of Southern
Ontario and the introduction of
each guest's grandmother.
Mrs. Ross Krueger, Mrs,
Russell King, Mrs. Dave Cottel
and Mrs. Harvey Andrews were
I appointed to the Kitchen Com-
mittee.
Mrs. Gerald Dearing and Mrs.
Russell Finkbeiner gave reports
on the District Annual held in
Dashwood the previous week.
Mrs. Kenney reported on the
Officers' Conference held earlier
in Kitchener.
The program was under the
direction of the Agriculture &
Canadian Industry Committee,
Mrs. Ross Haugh was the
chairman,
Valerie Finkbeiner and Anne
Marie Brand sang a duet.
Mrs. Haugh commented on
recycling waste, and Mrs.
Russell King developed the motto
"Saving our natural resources
i makes good `cents'."
Guest speakers were Miss
Carol Anne Doig and Peter
Rumball of the Ausable Con-
servation Authority.
Using slides to illustrate their
talks, they spoke on the care and
management of land areas, tree
planting and wild life.
They asked for suggestions on
the management of the property
recently purchased from Earl
Haist.
Pamphlets on the work of the
authority were distributed.

held at St, Patrick's Church on
Sunday, Rev. R. Savary was in
charge.
Mrs. Tom Kooy at the organ
was accompanied by Gote
Wennerstrom and Heber Davis
on the violin and William
Lambourn , London, sang two
solos. Mrs. Betty Sutherland of
Ilderton assisted the choir.
The church was decorated with
spring flowers for the occasion.

In June the Institute will cater
for the graduation banquet of
Stephen Central School.
The next regular meeting will
be held in September.
