IN MEMORIAM —
COOPER — In loving memory of our
dear mother and grandmother,
Lillian Cooper, who passed away
three years ago, March 6, 1972.
God gave us a wonderful mother
Far dearer than silver or gold
He fashioned her smile out of sun-
shine
He molded her heart with pure gold.
He needed a new star in heaven
A beautiful light to shine
So out of this world of sorrow
He chose this dear mother of ours,
Sadly missed and lovingly
remembered by daughter Lenore,
son-in-law Don, and grandchildren
Susan, Rick, Gail, Debbie, Donnie
and Gary. 10p

So many things have happened
Since you were called away
So many things to share with you
Had you been left to stay.
Every day in some small way
Memories of you come our way
Though absent, you are ever near,
Still missed, loved, always dear,
Always remembered by her son
Floyd, daughter-in-law Shirley and
grandchildren Kathy, Nancy, Joan
and Doug. 10c
CUDMORE — In loving memory of a
dear husband and father, Gordon
Daley Cudmore, who passed away

The application for the local
Opportunities for Youth grant
has been submitted, and it is now
just a matter of waiting, ac-
cording to recreation director
Jim McKinley,
The requested grant for $10,965
would have $9,920 earmarked for
salaries and $1,045 for ad-
ministrative costs, and for
supplies and materials,
The project, if approved, would
have an adventure playground
constructed in Victoria Park
and or Riyerview Park.
According to McKinlay, there
were 17 applications from
students to join the project.
However, only 10 will be hired
under the approved plan.
Word should be received on the
success of the grant about April
14, whiCh is the deadline for the
decisions.
McKinlay stressed that the
project is not one of RAP, but that
RAP is only being a resource of
the project. The actual work of
the summer would be done by the
students.
Two of the student staff will be
university or college students and
eight from local high schools.
According to the recreation
director, the successful students
will be from a wide area, that is,
from surrounding towns and
townships, as well as Exeter
itself.
Along with the letter of ap-
plication have gone letters of
support from Exeter Mayor
Bruce Shaw, John Holmes, a high
school teacher, active in OFY a
few years ago, and a letter has
been sent to Huron MP Bob
McKinley. It is hoped he too will
offer a letter of support for the
project.
