The snow is falling from the sky
So just look up there real real
high,
Floating swiftly and gently down
They take their place right on the
ground,
Those nice and fluffy little flakes
And oh what fun it really makes,
To romp and jump and roil
around
And fall down on the wet wet
ground.
They form snowballs and snow-
man too
Forts and castles but very few,
When it rains the snow goes away
No more sledding for us today,

He was covered with chrome
from end to end
And his chrome was covered with
ashes and soot.
A bundle of mufflers he had flung
on his back
And he looked like a peddler
Just opening his pack.
His lights how they glittered,
His mags how they spun
His fenders were shining
And his engine roaring.
The stump of his pipe
He held tight in his mouth,
He knew in a moment
It must be Speedy the Muffler
King.
More rapid than eagles his
coursers they came
And he whistled and shouted
and called them by name,
"Now Datson! now Mustang! now
Pinto! and Vega!
On Cougar! on Corvette! on
Destodo and Bobcat!
To the top of the wall,
To the top of the garage.
Now zoom away, zoom away,
Zoom away all.
And then in a twinkle,
Lincoln heard on the roof
The screeching and sqealling of
each little tire.
Lincoln drew in his hood
And was turning around,
Down the chimney , cameSpeedy,
Mufflers and all.

And the smoke encircled his head
like a wreath.
His face was long,
His belly fat,
He was very long
And a right jolly old muffler.
Lincoln laughed when he saw him
In spite of himself.
A blink of his light
And a twist of his head,
Soon gave Lincoln a sign
Which meant that he had nothing
to dread.
He spoke not a word
But went straight to his work
And filled all the tubes
Then turned with a jerk,
And giving a nod
Up the chimney he went,
He zoomed to his sleigh
To his cars gave a honk
And away they zoomed
As fast as light
But I heard Speedy say
As he drove out of sight,
"Happy Christmas to All,
And to all a good night.

T'was the night before Christmas
And all through the garage,
Not a car was moving,
Not even a Dodge.
The tubes were hung by the car
with care,
With hope that Speedy the
muffler king would soon be
there.
The wrenches were nestled all
snug in their case
While visions of bolts danced in
their head.
And Royce in her garage
And Lincoln in his, •
Had just recieved a checkup
For a long winter run.
When out on the drive
There arose such a clatter,
That Lincoln reved his motor
And sped to the window
To see what the matter.
He threw open the door
And shifted to first
The moon on the breast of the
new fallen snow
Gave a lustre of midday to
objects below.
When what to his wondering
lights should appear
But a miniature bus and eight
cars so little and dear,
With a little old driver
So long and slim

One cold, lonely day I found
my mind wandering off into
some weird place. I fell heavily
to the ground and began to
dream. More and more quickly I
began to see the picture clearer
and clearer until I could see two
strange blurry creatures the
shape of a horse or a cow. By this
time I had a fair idea what they
were. Yes, I was right:
Reindeers and probably Santa's
at that. Unknowingly I walked
towards the reindeers. Yes they
were Santa's because one of
them had a huge bright, red
nose—Rudolph.
As I got nearer I could see an
old broken-down barn supposedly
for the reindeers. The castle
beside it probably belonged to
the Clauses. Oh boy, I thought to
myself, if I could only get to
them and tell them that my arch
enemy was coming to invade the
castle. I got there in time to find
out that he had already taken
Santa's clothes and was posing
as him.
I went back to the barn and
told them what had happened.
They decided to help me put this
intruder out of commision. We
called him out to the barn. When
he came in we grabbed him and
bound him.
Next we went back and untied
Santa. My mind stopped and I
opened my eyes. I was lying on
the ground.

Christmas is to celebrate the
birth of our Saviour, Jesus
Christ. December twenty-fifth is
the day for our celebrating.
When you walk into a store is
there a feeling of real Christmas
spirit or the feeling you should
buy a lot of presents just to be
nice to your family? Stores will
say, "Buy this and this to make
your family happy," Most stores
want your money not your feel-
ing of the Christmas spirit.
Advertising starts near the
first of November. On television
we see dolls, clothes, tools, toy
trucks and tractors with people
saying, "Buy this for your loved
ones," Stores want to sell all
their products to make a profit.
Christmas to them is the money-
making-season.
Do we have a Christmas? Most
families buy presents, have a
delicious dinner, open the
presents, thank everyone and
that's that. All we want is to get
nice presents from everyone.
Most of us don't care if it is the
birth of Christ for which we have
a Christmas Day. 0

Dear Santa,
Thank you very much for the
presents you gave us last year.
We liked the toys, the candy, and
the books.
We've been very good this
year. We've cleaned up the toy
room, we've dried the dishes,
we've shared our toys, we've
bought nice birthday presents for
our mommies, we've helped to
make cookies, we've made our
beds and one of us even help to
pluck a chicken.
If you have enough toys we
would like a barn, a hands down
game, some candy (a year supp-
ly if possible), a desk, a tractor,
an easy bake oven, a toy manure
cleaner for my barn, a doll, a doll
that eats and drinks, and a
souvenir for Mrs. Silcock so she
won't forget us.
Thanks again for your kindness
and have a Merry Christmas.
