PREENWAY
Mrs. Joe Eagleson observed
her ninetieth birthday on;
December 14 in Strathrnere
Lodge, Strathroy. On -Sunday,
members of her family num-
bering thirty-three gathered
there to offer their good wishes
Resident moves
Mrs, Harold McDonald has sold
her home here and has moved
recently to the Cherry Hill Circle
apartments in London. Her many
friends here wish her well in her
new surroundings. She and her
late husband operated the
general store here for many
years.
Christmas program
An enthusiastic audience
thrilled to the performance of the
Greenway United Church Sunday
School members last Friday
evening. I refer to their Christ-
mas program at which the Rev.
Harold Dobson was chairman,
Near the close of the concert
twenty-seven members were
presented with seals, signifying
near perfect attendance during
the year. And on Sunday many of
these same pupils assisted at the
White Gift service and brought
gifts for the Mission Services.
By the way: Why all this
exodus to Florida? Is it because
the women's clothes down there
are like barbed-wire fences?
They protect the property
without obstructing the view.
