CROMARTY
The December meeting of
Cromarty W,M.S , was held at
the home of Mrs. Malcolm
Lamond. Mrs. Calder McKaig,
presiding, opened the meeting
with a poem composed by Mrs.
Oswin. The hymn, 0 Little Town
of Bethlehem was sung,
The Christmas service in the
Glad Tidings was followed. Mrs.
G. Scott, Mrs. M. Lamond, Mrs.
Jim Miller, and Mrs. M. Dow
assisted with the readings and
the scriptures.
The offering was received and
dedicated by repeating in unison
the Litany Prayer. Nine mem-
bers answered the roll call by
giving a Christmas verse. Cards
and visit were reported. Mrs.
Mervin Dow chose for her topic,
Christmas Lights.
The annual meeting followed
with ,the president, Mrs. M.
Lamond, taking the chair. The
secretary, Mrs. Thos.. L. Scott.
read the minutes of the last an-
nual meeting and gave the
W,M.S. annual report. Reports
were also given by Mrs. Grace
Scott, Mrs. Calder McKaig, Mrs,
John Wallace, Mrs. Jim Miller,
Mrs. Mervin Dow.
All officers were re-elected for
the coming year. The meeting
closed with Silent Night and the
Lord's Prayer in unison.

Six young people became
members of Cromarty
Presbyterian Church by
profession of faith at the com-
munion service on Sunday af-
ternoon. They were Bruce and
Betty Anne Miller, son and
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James
Miller; David and Nancy
Templeman, son and daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. John Templeman;
Brian Miller, son of Mr. and Mrs,
Alex Miller;and Frank Allen, son
of Mr. and Mrs. Alex Miller; and
Frank Allen, son of Mr. and Mrs.
Eldon Allen. They were
welcomed into the fellowship of
the church by the Rev. Wilfred
Jarvis and elders Mervin Dow,
Eldon Allen, Carter Kerslake,
and Thos. Scott.
4-H girls
Staffa No. 2 4-H Homemaking
Club, The Happy Cookers,
presented a skit, "Eating with
Chopsticks", at the Achievement
Day in Mitchell on Saturday. The
Skit was introduced by Cheryl
Riley.Gail Harburn and Cheryl
Riley received Provincial
Honours for completing twelve
projects.
