Pentecostal Holiness
In the absence of Rev. Ray
Brewster, who is attending a
conference in Oklahoma City,
William Davies of London, a
teacher at South Collegiate, was
the guest speaker at the Pen-
tecostal Holiness Church, Sun-
day.
At the morning service Mr,
Davies spoke from Isaiah 66:6,
saying that there are voices from
society and organized religion
that pull us away from God, but
Christians are to listen to the
voice of God from His word. At
the evening service Mr, Davies,
using the story of Sampson as an
example, pointed out how we
must remember where our
spiritual strength really comes
from.
Tim Stutt led the singing at the
morning service and was in
charge of the evening service,
while Rick Thornton was in
charge of the morning service.
Joan Lockyer sang to her guitar
accompaniment in the morning
and sang a duet with Mrs. Roy
Dykeman in the evening. Mrs.
Dykeman was the pianist for both
services.

"The Healing Ministry of
Jesus" was the theme chosen by
Rev. Ewart Madden, Sunday. He ,
stated it was basic to the whole
man. Jesus' motivation was one
of ministering to the sick and
lonely and He used different
approaches in different
situations, and healed even at
great distances but faith was the
key.
The flowers in the sanctuary
were from the funeral of the late
William Frost, a member of the
session and a long-time member
of the Lucan United Church.
White Gift Sunday will be
observed next Sunday when
Roger Smith of the Men's
Division of Mission Services,

speaker,

improve their role in Ontario's
education system."
He is pleased to see the trend
toward increased community
participation in school programs
and ,in use of school facilities. He
