ROBERT LAING CROMARTY At Tuesday night's award's dinner in Upper Thames School, Mitchell, George Douglas was winner of the Mitchell Chamber of Commerce trophy for the champion Junior Exhibitor at Mitchell Fall Fair for three consecutive years. His sister, Kathy Douglas won the Club Leaders' trophy for the best calf and showmanship in the Beef Club. By MRS. IRVIN RADER DASHWOOD In honor of their mother's 80th birthday the family of .Mrs. Mabel Gossman, widow of Wm. Gossman held open house, Sunday in Dashwood community centre. All of Mrs. Gossman's ten children were present except one. They are Garnet, Windsor; .Dolores C or nf ord , London; Leonard, London; Jean Fleming, Kitchener; Sherwood, London; Clara Ann, London; Harry and Ken, Kitchener; Martha MacLean, Ohio; and Shirley Watson, London. Martha was the only one unable to come. There are 23 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. • Also present for the occasion were Mrs.Gossman's brother and The Tea Totin Twelve The 4-H girls club No III held their meeting at Mrs. Miller's home with seven girls present. They decided on a joint meeting and party . for the mothers, December 4. The leaders discussed different types of dinners and the girls made menus for what they would serve at each.
