Pacing the Huron Park scoring attack with a three goal effort was Ross Black. Scoring in single fashion were Doug Barnard, Dave Smith; Perry Healey, Ron Kennedy and Bob Lawrence. Friday night in Preston the Jets were forced to recover from, a 3-0 deficit late in the second period and rally to' post a 5-3 victory over the Preston Jesters. Sunday on home ice at the Ilderton arena the procedure was reversed with the Jets failing to hold on to a 2-0 margin as the London Kings came on strong and emerged 3-2 victors, Against London, Rick Fifield scored two goals in the last 50 seconds of the first period to put the Jets ahead 2-Q. Huron Park won a pee wee contest at the Huron Park arena Saturday by a score of 7-1 and the Exeter youngsters rebounded Sunday to gain a 4-4 draw at the Exeter arena. Ralph Wells led the Huron Park scorers in the first game with a two goal performance. Scoring in single fashion were Mike Denny, Chuck Mortley, Tony Underhill, Harold Borden and Steve Gibbs. The lone Exeter goal was shot by Kevin Parsons on passes from David Bell and Danny Galloway. In the return game at Exeter, Rick Lather scored twice for Huron Park and Steve Gibbs and Chuck Mortley added singles. Scoring two goals for Exeter was John Stephens. Getting one goal apiece were Bill Simmons and David Bell. In bantam division play Huron Park edged Exeter 3-2. Dave Smith , scored twice to lead the Huron Park scoring. The odd marker was fired by Perry Healey, Huron Park won a Saturday atom game by a close 2-1 count. David Murray was the Huron Park marks man on both oc- casions. Steve O'Neill assisted on both and Steve Prout gained one assist. Friday night three Huron-Park teams travelled to Lucan. Huron Park emerged 3-2 victors in the pee wee game. Lucan was vic- torious in the bantam contest 7-1 and also won in midget 11-4. Huron Park goal scorers in the pee wee victory were Rick Lather, Benjie Hillman and Steve Gibbs. The lone Huron Park bantam marker was notched by Ross Black. Brian Lather with a three goal effort was best for the Huron Park midgets. Randy Som- merville was the other marksman. On a Thursday night jaunt to Dorchester the Huron Park bantams were defeated 4-3. Terry Hodgins was a double goal scorer for Huron Park. The other suc- cessful shot was fired by David Murray.' Doug Osgood assisted. The Exeter club had taken an early 4-0 lead but the visitors rallied and scored four times to get back on even terms. Ken Pinder started the Exeter scoring, converting a pass from Paul Shapton and John Van Gerwen registered with passing help from Doug Osgood and Paul Brooks in the first period. Scoring for the locals in the middle frame were Brian Horrell on a pass from Doug Osgood and Peter Kincaid fired a successful shot with the assist going to Ken Pinder. In the pee wee contest, Exeter scored three unanswered goals in the first period and were able to skate to a 4-2 win. The first period goals came from the sticks of Doug Brooks, Jeff Fuller and Wayne Parsons, Adding assists were Ed Willis, Larry Dawson, Mark Parsons, Steve Pearce and Wayne Par- sons. In the final session, Wayne Parsons counted on a pass from Larry Dawson to complete the Exeter scoring and ensure the victory.
