The second meeting of OA
Kippen Tea Tippers was held on
Monday, October 7, 1974 at Mrs.
Parsons home.
The meeting opened with the 4-
1-1 pledge. Sharon Finlayson read
the minutes and Vicki Bell was
elected the next Secretary.
All members answered the roll
call, "Why I like to entertain."
The next meeting will be held at
Hoggarths on October 21 at 7 p.m.
The girls received their orange
book covers and decided on their
design. The subject matter for
meeting two was discussed.

Couple honoured
on anniversary
Mr. & Mrs. Earl Campbell
were honored on their 55th
wedding anniversary when
members of their family,
grandchildren and great grand-
children, Mr. & Mrs. Percy
Campbell and Mr. & Mrs. George
Armstrong attended a dinner at
Bayview Inn followed by a
reception and dance at the Lucan
Legion hall.

The fourth meeting of the
Hensall 1 "Helping Homemaking
Hostesses" and Hensall II was
held on Tuesday evening at the
Hensall United Church. The
meeting was opened with the
pledge.
Nine club members answered
the roll which was "Something I
would like in a guest room". Dues
were paid and Hostess files were
discussed, also book covers and
reference sheets.
Sandwiches were discussed
under the direction of the leaders
and the girls were given the
chance to eat them. A tea was
held with the girls using the
sandwiches that they themselves
had prepared.
There is no freedom on earth or in

Former resident
buried in London
Mrs. Lois Margaret
(MacLaren) MacDonald passed
away at her residence at 246
Vancouver St., London, on
Wednesday October 9, 1974 in her
49th year.
Born in Hensall the deceased
was the eldest daughter of the
late Mr. & Mrs. W.A. MacLaren.
She was the wife of Robert T.
MacDonald and mother of
Malcom A. MacDonald and Jane
MacDonald at home and sister of
Mrs. Marion Thornloe, London.
A private funeral service was
conducted from the Needham
Memorial Chapel, 520 Dundas St.,
London, Rev. Russell Gordon of
St. George's Presbyterian
church, officiated. Interment was
in Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
