Hibbert United Church was the setting for the double ring ceremony
joining Janet Elizabeth Miller and Jack T. White in marriage. The bride
is the daughter of Mr, and Mrs. Leslie Miller of RR 2 Staffa and the
groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. James White, London. Rev. A. H.
Daynard officiated, Mrs. Edna Cross, sister of the bride was the
matron of honour and the attendants were Mrs. Joe Braga, Cam-
bridge, Maurica White, sister of the groom and Michelle Cannon, niece
of the groom. Jack McEachnie, London was the best man and the
guests were ushered by Rick Leslie, Thorndale and Michael Cannon,
nephew of the groom. After a wedding trip to Freeport in the Bahamas
the couple will reside at 980 Cheapside Apt. 5, London.
Hurondale II's first meeting of
the "Club Girl Entertains" was
held on Monday, September 23, at
Dougall's at 7:30 p.m, The
leaders are Mrs. Fern Dougall
and Mrs. Lenore Parsons. There
are 11 members.
The election of officers took
place, They are president, Gail
Parsons; vice-president, Jayne
Dougall; treasurer, Evelyn
Neevel; secretary, rotating);
telephone girls, Marg Parsons
and Carol Dougall; bookcover
committee, Susan Willert, Deb
Parsons and Beth Keyes; press
reporter, Marg Parsons and
Evelyn Neevel.
The next meeting took place en
September 30 at Parsons' at 7:30
p.m. The girls read over the
record book requirements and
the requirements of members.
They discussed the different files
we could use for our club projeCt.
All of the girls demonstrated
measuring techniques.
Fern Dougall explained flower
arrangements and demonstrated
a small attractive bouquet, For
the group work they all made
their own flower arrangements.
Some very effective bouquets
were created.
The Home Assignment was to
work on their files and record
book and to make a dining table
bouquet,
The congregation of the Clinton
'Christian Reformed Church
formed a choir to lead the Sunday
evening Song Service in the
auditorium.
Thirty-five residents of Bruce
Lee Haven Home at Walkerton
accepted an invitation to visit
Huronview on Monday afternoon.
The guests arrived at two-thirty
and joined in the activities of old
tyme music, dancing and a sing
song. Marie Flynn, Lorne
Lawson, Norman Speir and Jerry
Collins provided the music with
vocal solos by Morgan Dalton and
readings by Mrs. McGratton.
Administrator, Ches
Archibald, welcomed the visitors
to the Home and following the
program lunch was served in the
main dining room by a resident
committee; Betty Scratch,
Margaret Kehn, Gladys
Stanlake, Miss O'Connor, Mrs.
McKenzie and Mrs. Kelly.
Mrs. Hussey, Recreation
Supervisor at Bruce Lee Haven,
expressed the appreciation of
their residents for the invitation
and the visitors were taken on a
tour of the Home.
Mrs. Marjorie Hays of
Goderich provided a musical
program for "Family Night"
accompanied at the piano by Mr.
Herdman, organist of St. Georges
Anglican Church, Goderich. Mrs.
Hays sang many of the residents
favourite songs and •Mrs.
Snarling thanked the en-
tertainers on behalf of the
residents.

Hensall United Church was the setting for the candlelight wedding of
Jane Madeline Smith to Gene Paul Reding. The bride is the daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. William C. Smith, Hensall and the groom is the son of Mr.
and Mrs. Eugene Reding, Attica New York. Rev. Donald Beck of-
ficiated. Janet McDowell of Centralia was the maid of honour and Ann
Reding, Attica, New York and Cathy McColl, London were
bridesmaids. Bernard Buckenmeyer of Attica was the best man and
Scott, Smith, Hensall and William Deyle, Rochester, New York were
I ushers. After a honeymoon in Northern Ontario the couple will reside
in Attica, New York.

Grand Bend United Church was the setting for the September 21 wed-
ding of Helen Elizabeth Eagleson to Hans Bischoff. The bride is the
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Eagleson, RR 3 Parkhill, and the
groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs, Fred Bischoff. Rev. Dobson officiated,
Barbara Bischoff, sister of the groom was the maid of honour and
Carol Lynn Shapton, Exeter and Carolyn Merrier, sister of the bride
were bridesmaids. Gary Eagleson, brother of the bride was the best
man and guests were ushered by Danny Brintnell and Gerald Merrier.
After a honeymoon in Northern Ontario the couple took up residence
north of Exeter.
UCW plan
Nov bazaar
The Exeter UCW met on
Monday, October 7 with over 40 in
attendance.
Unit leader Mrs. Carol Willard
was in charge of the business and
committees were appointed for
the tea room and Christmas table
for the upcoming bazaar on
November 23.
Mrs. Malcolm Davidson of
Brucefield has been invited to be
the guest speaker f or the
November meeting. All the ladies
of the church are invited to attend
and hear interesting stories and
view slides of India.
Mrs. Mavis Atthill was in
charge of the Devotional service,
assisted by Mrs. Alice MacLean
and Mrs. Marion Porter, The
theme was Thanksgiving.
The ladies left the church at
8:30 and went to the Country
Spire Gift studio and tea room.
