The September Meeting of the
Messengers was held in the
schoolroom of the United Church
on Sunday morning with the
leaders, Mrs, M. Bnswell and Mrs. IL Smith in charge,
The Messenger hymn was sting
and Mrs. l3uswell told the story
"Some Money for God."
A game was played with Jeff
Oreb as the winner, This was
followed by the story "George
Leads the Singing." The•
Messenger motto was repeated in
Unison.

nesday evening of last week on

50th wedding anniversary,
On Sunday a birthday party
attended by many relatives, was
held at the home of Mr, & Mrs,
Lloyd Morgan in honour of the
latter's sister, Miss Dorcas
Williams, of Sarnia, She received
many beautiful gifts.
Mr. & Mrs. Russell Wilson and
girls spent the weekend at their
cottage at Shepherd Lake.

Thirty-five members of the
Holmes Family met on Sunday
afternoon in the Lions Club Park
for a reunion. Sports and a
baseball game were enjoyed dur-
ing the afternoon. Guests were
present from Surrey, B.C.,

dinner and dance on August 31.
August 28th was the 45th wed-
ding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs.
-Neil and the 29th anniversary of
Mrs. Cave's daughter and son-in-
law• Mr. and Mrs. A, W.
Hiebert.
At dinner in the Patio
Restaurant in Surrey B.C. a toast
was proposed by Mrs. Hiebert's
eldest daughter to the brides and
grooms, afterwhich the Hieberts
were presented with an electric
lamp and the Neils were
presented with an anniversary
card and a sum of money.
Mr. Hiebert and Mr. Neil
thanked the group for their gifts
and dinner.
Mr. and Mrs. Neil arrived
home Monday night.
