spent a couple of days last week
in Niagara Falls and also visited
with Mr. & Mrs. Allan Thomson
at St. Catharines.
Kirkton No. 4, 41-1 Club mem-
bers and their families held a
corn roast on Friday evening by
the creek on the farm of Mr. &
Mrs. Glenn Copeland. Games
were played and the corn and
wieners were enjoyed by all,

Marys, Mrs. John Butters, Mrs.
Frank Rodd, Mr. & Mrs. George
Wheeler, Mr. & Mrs. John Rodd,
Pamela and Calvin, Mr, & Mrs.

guests with Miss Jean Copeland.

4 H Club Meeting
The first meeting of the Kirkton
No. 4, 4H Club girls was held at
the home of Mrs. John Rodd. The
project is entitled "A World of
Food in Canada".
The officers elected were
President, Janice Thomson,
Secretary, all members. Cover
designers, Janet Parkinson,
Cynthia Copeland, Margaret
Parkinson and Pamela Rodd.
The name chosen for their club
was "Galloping Gourmets".
After the business, Blueberry
Buckle and succatosh were made
and each girl sampled it when
they were cooked.

meeting will be held September
18th at St. Columban Hall and
plans were finalized on the
Sisters' 50th Jubilee for Sep-
tember 22nd. Lunch was served
by ladies from the West Group.

Sister St, Michael Guinan,
Toronto visited over the weekend
with Thomas and Michael Ryan
and their families.
Mr. & Mrs. Michael Ryan and
all their family have returned
from a five week holiday in
Southern Ireland. They en-
countered ideal weather con-
ditions while travelling in the
magnificent parks and along the
Killarney lake districts. The
beauty of large old churches and
castles surrounded by the world's
outstanding flower beds, were
only part of the enjoyable trip.
George Ryan has registered for
Ins second year of studies at
Fanshawe College.
Mrs. Mary Moser and
daughter, Catherine are enjoying
a tour of interesting sights in
Belgium.

Mr. & Mrs. Hans Dieter
Grabauer left on Monday to
return to their home in Germany
after spending the past five
weeks as guests at the home of
Mr. & Mrs. Ray Regular.
While they were here Mr. &
Mrs. Regular and son Ray took
them on a ten day's vacation to
the East Coast where they visited
with relatives in Nova Scotia and
New Brunswick.
Mrs. Regular entertained at a
wedding party for the young
couple and guests attending were
Mr. & Mrs. Lawrence Hirtzel,
Mr. & Mrs. Tom Kooy of the
village, Mrs. N. Warren of
London, Mr. & Mrs. W. J. Johns
of Woodham and Mr. & Mrs. Ken
Baker of Huron Park.
UCW OUTING
The Centralia U.C.W. began
their fall meetings by having
lunch together at the Garage in
London on Thursday of last week.
Following lunch they motored
to Springbank Park for the
devotions and business. The
theme of the meeting was
Nature.
A bale of good used clothing
will be packed the first week in
October.
