David Kay of Willowdale was
best man and the guests were
ushered by Robert Hayter and
Paul Murray.
A reception was held at the
bride's home.
The couple will live in Kingston
where they both attend Qtieen's
University.

The bride is the daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. William S. Brock of
London, formerly of Exeter. The
groom's parents, Mr. and Mrs.
Gerald Parks travelled from
Devon, England for the wedding.
The bride was given in
marriage by her father. She was
attended by Betsy Jerry of
London. The bride's gown, made
by her aunt, was of ecru satin
designed on princess lines with a
jacket and trimmed with lace
from her grandmother's gown, A
matching picture hat accented
with the lace of the gown corn-
plernentedlthe outfit. She carried
a nosegay of sweetheart roses
and variegated pittosporum.
The best man was Robert
Parks, brother of the groom.
The guests were ushered by
Brandon Brock, brother of the
bride, and Drew Fox of Toronto.
A garden reception followed at
the home of the bride's aunt.
Following their honeymoon the
bride and groom will reside in
Mississauga, Ontario.
Brucefield United Church was
decorated with gladiola and
candelabra for the August 10
wedding of Brenda Dianne
Triebner to Robert Dwain
Hickson.
The bride is the daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. David Triebner, RR 3,
Kippen and the groom is the son
of Mr, and Mrs. Wes Hickson,
Lucan,
Rev. Paul Packman officiated
and Mrs, Gerald Moffat played
the organ during the signing of
the register.
Given in marriage by her
father the bride wore a floor
length gown of white lagoda
crepe accented by a full skirt
which swept into a train at the
back, Her Juliette cap held her
cathedral length veil in place,
The gown, veil and headpiece
Were highlighted with a delicate
scalloped edged trims
The bride carried a white Bible
with mums, and orchids.
The matron of honour was Mrs.
Howard Bernard, sister of the
bride. Bridemalds were Mrs.
Carl Rummel, sister of the groom
and Doreen Grey, Lucan, friend
of the bride. Cindy Lou Bernard,
the bride's niece was the flower
girl. The attendants wore mat-
ching gowns of white Georgette
bodice with floral skirts and
sleeves. They carried bouquets of
roses.
Gary Hayter, Lucan was the
best man and Ralph Triebner and
Terry Hickson ushered the
guests.
A reception was held in the
Church Hall at Brucefield.
For a wedding trip to Niagara
Falls the bride wore a white linen
suit with an orchid corsage.
The couple will reside at RR 2,
Lucan.

Saturday, August 10 at 5 p.m., on
the lawn, at the home of the
bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs.
Jack Urquhart, RR 1 St. Marys,
The groom iis the son, of the late
Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Donohoe.
Rev, U. Dawson and Rev, T,
Elliott, both of Kirkton, per-
formed the -CereinenY, Wedding
music was provided by Terri
Paul and Mr. Philip Bladder,
cousins of the bride,
The bride's attendants were
her sister, Heather Urquhart, as
maid of honour and her cousin,
Maureen Bladder, as flower girl,
Michael Turner of North Bay,
was best man and John
Urquhart, brother of the bride,
was usher.
Mr. and Mrs. Donohoe will live
in Toronto, where the bride, a
graduate of the University of
Western Ontario, is a food
specialist with the Ontario
Ministry of Agriculture and
Food.
The groom, a graduate of the
University of Toronto and the
Ontario College of Education, is
on the staff of Denlow School,
North York.

The Presbyterian Church
women of Caven Church met on
Monday evening.
The president, Mrs. H. Strang
opened the meeting with a
quotation from Gandi.
The devotion, entitled
"Response to God", was given by
Mrs. Norman Stanlake. A lovely
duet and solo were presented
by Mrs. Maude Connon and
Mrs. Dorothy Knight.
The Caven Church Centennial
plates commemorating 100 years
of Presbyterian Women's
missionary work in Canada were
on display and are available from
any member of the Women's
group.
Plans were made to hold a
luncheon in October.
Slides were shown by Carfrey
Cann of a trip to Hawaii.
The next meeting is a joint
meeting with the Gordon Circle
on Wednesday, October 9.
