Krista and Cindy remained for the weekend, Mr. & Mrs. John Simpson and Paul, were home for Decoration Day with Mrs, I Simpson. Mrs. Ernie Lewis spent the holiday weekend with Mr. & Mrs. Arnold Lewis and family. Mrs. Jim McCarthy and girls, Granton visited Sunday With her mother, Mrs J. Donaldson, June and Cindy. Archie Robertson will be starting his studies at Emmanuel College, Kitchener. Andy Robertson who has returned from the West Coast resumed his studies at Fanshawe College, London. Mr. & Mrs. Arnold Blake have constructed a wishing well .on their property. Mr & Mrs. Peter Vis, Chatham were guests with Mr. & Mrs. Peter Groenewegen for the holiday. Mr. & Mrs. Kestle, London visited Monday with Mr. & Mrs. D. Kestle. Nathan Skinner , London spent the weekend with his grandparents and Janis Kestle. Stanley and Nancy Skinner visited on Monday with the Kestle's. Torn Kestle and Lynn Ross visited the honey farm on Tuesday evening. The boys of the Clandeboye Baseball team had a game Tuesday evening at Lieury. Mr. & Mrs. Clarence Millson, Mr. & Mrs. J. Beckett, Kit- chener; Mr. & Mrs. R. Millson, London; Mr. & Mrs, G. Millson were entertained on Sunday at the home of Mr. & Mrs. Eugene Glavin and Leona. The occasion was Florence Millson's birthday. Mr. Gote Wennerstrom was guest Sunday for a birthday dinner for Horatio Simpson at the latter's home in Lucan. And looking after the environment for such a vast area is one of the most complex tasks that the Ontario Government has. For years, we've been working from Toronto, working at long dis- tances from many of you, That's all changed now. The Min- istry of the Environment has come to you. Environmental matters are now being looked after in six Regional Offices through- out the provinte, There are also 23 district offices to help keep a closer eye on environ- mental services—air, land and water. Each region has a Director, someone whose only job isto care for the environmental needs of that specific "piece" of Ontario. The Regional Office for Southwestern Ontario, which encom- Doug McTavish passes the counties of Grey, Bruce, Huron, Perth, Oxford, Middlesex, Elgin, Lambton, Kent and Essex is in London. The Director in charge is Mr. D. A. McTavish. District offices are already established in Owen Sound, Sarnia and Windsor. Doug McTavish is a profes- sional engineer who has had many years experience working in environmental management.
