all municipalities in Huron
county Permission to sell lottery
tickets in each municipality to

new swimming pool at Vanastra
and make it a year round facility.
Reeve Elgin Thompson at the
council meeting Tuesday night

Thurston, presently at Copper
Cliff,
Clerk James McIntosh said
water consumption at Vanastra
during August had jumped to
182,000 gallons a day from 100,000
gallons daily during July. With
the increase in water rates in
August from 40c to 50c per 1000
gallons this meant a jump from
$40 to $91 per day in August.
The increased consumption is
due mainly to the hot dry spell,

Guelph in May.
In his report to council, Mr.
Nicholson said a culvert six feet
in diameter had been removed
from sideroad 5-6 during
reconstruction of the big drain
and that it will be offered for sale.
A request for a tile drainage

In the future council will refuse
a request for a loan if it is not
made prior to any construction

Seaforth Recreation Committee
asked for a grant of $1,000 for a 12
month period as Tuckersmith's
share for its children and adults
participating in recreation of-
fered by the town.
"As recreation is both wor-
thwhile and costly it is our feeling
that some support should be
given from the township," said
the spokesman, James Crocker.
