Introducing the All-New Ford Granada
THE 1975 FORD GRANADA is about half a ton lighter and two feet shorter than most standard-size
cars but still provides five-passenger seating comfort. The new car is available in two- and four-door
models in two series, a well equipped basic Granada and a luxurious Granada Ghia top-of-the-line
series. Major standard equipment includes a 250-cubic-inch six cylinder engine, manual front disc
brakes, fully reclining front bucket seats, and a specially designed body and suspension for a big ride.
Two V-8 engines, the 302-2V and 351-2V, are available. The Granada, which will be introduced in
late September, will not require a catalytic converter and will operate with optimum driveability and
fuel economy on any type of gasoline—regular, premium and unleaded.
SENSORY APPEAL — The elegant, handsome interiors of the 1975 Granada and Monarch suggest
the pleasing appearance and feel of fine furniture. The deeply contoured, individual reclining front
seats are upholstered in very soft vinyl or knit bodycloth and in the more luxurious Ghia models, soft
vinyl, fine leather or Kashmir, a nylon knit velour (shown here). Instrument panel and door-top
moldings are in semi-glossy simulated burl walnut woodgrain. Deluxe steering wheel, seatback map
pockets and assist straps, roof-rail positioned grab straps and fine carpeting on the floor and lower
door trim panels add to the air of elegance and comfort.

Crediton loses OBA playoff
in two close, exciting games
For inner-city transportation,
the Dutch are experimenting
with a small, two-passenger
electric car. Like a do-it•
yourself taxi, the car is picked
up at re-charge stations and
left at others.
Shock absorbers wear out
slowly, and you may not notice
the change in handling. They
should be checked within 25,-
000 miles; worn ones can
cause loss of control of the car.
Check your headlight aim. In
some cars, the combination of
a loaded trunk and inade-
quate springs or shock ab-
sorbers can cause front of cir
to rise, tilting headlights up.
Cocktail for the car: ethyl
alcohol burns well in conven-
tional engines, and is being
studied as an alternative to
gasoline. Researchers at
University of Nebraska are
testing "gasohol", a mixture of
10% ethyl alcohol and 90%
gasoline, with good results so
far.
If nothing happens when you
try to start your car, you may
have it in gear. A safety switch
prevents it from starting ex-
cept in "neutral" or "park".
Starter trouble? Maybe it's time to
consider a new car, See the good.

Drive in soon!
The Crediton juvenile club
were knocked out of competition
in the Ontario Baseball
Association juvenile "D"
playoffs over the weekend but not
before they put up a terrific
battle.
Saturday in Dashwood, 'the
Crediton youngsters held a 2-0
lead going into the ninth inning
but the visiting Forest club
scored three runs in their last
turn at bat to eke out a 3-2
decision.
Back in Forest, Sunday af-
ternoon the two teams resumed
their battle but this time it was
the offense which took over with
Forest winning 14-13 in 11 in-
nings.
Saturday's opening contest was
a real battle from start to finish
with each pitcher giving up only
two hits,
Rick Bowers on the mound for
Crediton had a no-hitter going
into the ninth. He retired the first
batter on a pop up and then
trouble set in.
A Crediton error, a hit batsman
along with a double and single
produced the three Forest last
minute runs.
Keith Davey walked in the
Crediton fourth, stole second and
scored on consecutive sacrifices
by Rodger Finkbeiner and
Gerald Weido.
In the sixth, Ron Funston was
Strangely enough, the safest
things to argue about are politics
and religion. It's the little issues ,
that come between friends. `t;
safe on an error went to second on
another Finkbeiner sacrifice and
scored on a single from the bat of
Rick Bowers.
Bowers struck out nine while
Chuck Moons tossing for Forest
fanned 15 Crediton batters.
In Forest Sunday it was
Crediton's turn to stage a
comeback rally.
Forest held a 6-0 lead after
three innings of play. Crediton
bounced back to lead 10-6 after
five frames. The Forest club
moved ahead again to lead 13-11
as the Crediton team came to bat
in the ninth.
Keith Davey and RodgerFink-
beiner crossed the plate in the
ninth inning for Crediton to send
the game into extra innings.
The four run Crediton rally in
the fourth was powered by
singles from Rick Bowers and
Keith Davey and a double from
the bat of Ron Funston.
The big blow in the fifth was a
home run by Rick Bowers
starting a six run splurge. Other
hits were singles by Peter
Wuerth, Bill Hodge and Rodger
Finkbeiner.
Keith Davey walked in the
seventh and scored on a single by
Rodger Finkbeiner.
Pat Bedard and Rick Bowers
shared pitching duties for
Crediton.
