family have returned from a
cruise in Georgian Bay to

Ladies continue to show
prominence in the weekly jitneys
held at the Exeter lawn bowling
club,
Thursday night, Lillian Pym
was the winner and four other
female competitors appeared in
the top six on the prize list.
In winning Thursday, Lillian
Pym recorded a score of two
wins, a plus of 18 and 37
aggregate. Tom Yellow was the
runner-up with a 17 plus and 25
aggregate to go with a double
win. •
Anna Ballantyne on two vic-
tories, plus of 16 and aggregate of
26 was third. Next in line came
Alvin Pym, Edith Love and Marg
Orr.
Saturday night's action saw
men take the top three spots
followed by five ladies.
Clarence Down was the
champion amassing a plus of 20
and 43 aggregate along with two
wins. Alvin Pym was second and
Harold Simpson third with scores
of 15 and 13 and 32 and 27,
respectively.
The next four ladies all had a
plus of 11. They were Gertrude
Hamilton, Olive Harvey, Stella
Taylor, Marg Wein and Mabel
Skinner.
Leading the bowlers Tuesday
was Harold Simpson with double
victories, a plus of 20 and 32
aggregate. Gertrude Hamilton
was next with a plus of 11 and 29
aggregate.Bill Etherington's plus
was the same but he had a lower
aggregate of 25.
Completing the prize list were
Wellington Brock and Edna
Caldwell.

Lloyd Morgan's 50th wedding an-
niversary was held in Emmanuel
Baptist Church, Exeter on Satur-
.day. Between the afternoon and
evening receptions a dinner was
served by the UCW in the Cen-
tralia United Church.
Mrs. Robert Wilson and
children of Highgate spent a few
days with her parents, Mr. &
Mrs. Lloyd Morgan before their
50th wedding anniversary. Her
husband and the remainder of
the family joined her on Satur-
day for the occasion.
Mr. & Mrs. Will Williams (a
brother of Mrs. Morgan) of Port
Elgin attended Mr. & Mrs.
Morgan's 50th anniversary and
visited with them over the
weekend. Also attending was
Mrs. Morgan's sister, Dorcas
Williams of Sarnia who is
holidaying with Mr. & Mrs.
Morgan.
Mr. & Mrs. Chas. Spendiff of
Stratford, Mr. & Mrs. Bert Allan
of Riding Mountain, Manitoba
were visitors last Tuesday with
Mr. & Mrs. Fred Bowden and on
Wednesday all visited Niagara
Falls.
