Lillian. Evans, Arnprior is spending this week with Elizabeth Templernan, Lillian is a 4-H exchange student from Carleton, County and Elizabeth will be returning with her on Friday to spend a week in Carleton county. David Templeman and Mary Renne are among the 4-H young people attending a three day conference at Waterloo University. The twenty fourth biennial reunion of the descendants of John and Agnes Corneille Switzer was held at the Kirkton- Woodham Community Centre, which had been erected in 1973, with 213 registering. The Cor- neille tree had the largest number registering 64. A smorgasbord dinner and supper was served in the hall by the conveners, Harold and Ann Zwitzer, Kirkton, assisted by Murray and Ombra May, Lon- don, Bill and Gladys Stock, Tavistock and Elmer and Ruth Harding, Gorrie, The president Irwin Riehl, Stratford welcomed everyone. Crediton club is eliminated The Crediton bantams were eliminated from further play in Western Ontario Athletic Association playdowns Monday night as they dropped a 4-0 decision to Wingham. The series ended three games to one for Wingham, The Crediton bats were quiet in the final contest getting only three base hits. Fraser Boyle collected a double and single while Dennis Preszcator rapped out a single. Paul Gaiser was the Crediton pitcher giving up one run in the second inning and three in the third. Mrs. Flossie Sgariglia gave the historian report and urged all to assist the committee on bringing the family trees up to date, Mr. Wesley Switzer of Brant- ford showed the history book he had compiled and thanked Roy Switzer, Kirkton for the won- derful assistance he had given with information, A short program was enjoyed, convened by Tom and Blanche White of Sebringville. A sing song was led by Blanche accompanied by Gladys Stock on the piano and Wanda and Wayne Stock on guitars. Several songs were sung by Tom, Blanche and Joyce White of Sebringville and Bill Switzer of Stratford with his guitar, Mr. Carl Mills, Exeter en- tertained in his Scotch manner with the bagpipes. Cynthia, Ellen and Deanna Copeland of Woodham sang a couple of numbers accompanied on the piano by their mother Verla Copeland. Wilbert Kirkby, Kirk ton and LaVerne and Bar- bara Rodd of Woodham gave several numbers on the har- monicas and piano. Raynard and Hilda Ackert of Lucknow sang the very beautiful number "Beyond the Sunset" which set the stage for the Memoriam which was read by Miss Maude Harding of Toronto. It was decided to hold the next reunion the last Sunday in June in 1976 at the Kirkton-Woodham with most children present, William and Ruth Osborne, Monk ton, five children. Couple with most grandchildren present, Clarence and Dorothy Switzer, Kirkton, 11 present, from the farthest distance Mrs. C. M. Tassie, Vancouver Island. Mr. & Mrs. Allan Eveleigh spent the weekend at Parry Sound and Dunchurch. David Robinson and his friend Dennis Hazelton of Hamilton have left on a motor trip to the Western Provinces. George Burgin and David, Bill Hamilton and Bill Elston at- tended the Steam Threshers and Antique show at Cookstown. By MRS. ROSS SKINNER Mr. & Mrs, Wm. Routly spent last Wednesday with Mr. & Mrs. Jerry Rannie and family of Brantford. Joan Pym returned home from Miniset Camp where she has been counsellor for three weeks. Friday visitors with Mr. & Mrs. Wm. Routly were Rev. & Mrs. Stewart Miner of Port Rowan and Mr. S. W. McFalls of Lucan. A large number attended the reception at Kirkton Community Centre on Saturday evening for Mr. & Mrs. Dennis Rowe. Rader; eight and nine years, David HaYter; ten and eleven, Barbara Rader; 12 and 13, Karen Rader; 14 and 15, Carol Rader. The men's race was won by Earl Keller and Mrs. Ernest Koehler won the Ladies walk. Sandra 1)atars won the girls kick-the-slipper and Joey Becker won the boys event. The water-filled-balloon relay was won by Barbara and Elaine Rader. Supper table prizes were given to the following people: lucky plate; Mrs. Glen Rader; oldest person, Aaron Restemayer; youngest person, Elizabeth Bowman; longest married couple attending, Mr. & Mrs, Leonard Restemayer. Personals Mr. & Mrs. Edmund Becker returned home following a weeks visit with Mr. & Mrs. Alvin 0, Becker, Roblin, Manitoba. They travelled by airplane, taxi and bus. Mrs. Becker says she was really thrilled with the plane ride. Mr. & Mrs. Bob Stormes, David, Susan and Peter, St. Thomas, spent last week at the Mervyn Tieman residence and store while Mr, & Mrs. Tieman were on hblidays. A number of relatives and friends attended the Rader-Diehl wedding at St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Moserville and the reception at Milverton Legion Hall Saturday, August 10. The groom, son of Mr. & Mrs. Elmer Rader, Stratford, is a grandson of Mrs. Hilda Haugh.
