Glenda and Tammy Morenz are holidaying this week in Waterloo with their aunt and uncle. Mr. & Mrs. Ezra Kneisel and cousins, Sharon and Valerie. Mrs. Etta Baker and family gathered for a picnic on Sunday on the lawn of Manford Luther's in honor of Donna Lane, Terrie Lynn and Jamie of B.C. The afternoon began with a ball game followed by supper with 32 participating. There was a good attendance at the Craft fair and bake sale Friday afternoon and evening at the Parish Hall. It was sponsored by the A.C.W. with eighteen people exhibiting crafts. Mrs. Ralph Bailey has her daughter, Mrs. D. F. McGillivary and Laurie of Trenton visiting with her at her summer cottage here. Mr. & Mrs. Ira Desjardine spent a week's holidays at Garden Grove, California. .vith their daughter and son-in-laW, Mr. & Mrs. Tom Mylan and St. Patrick's church for the nod two Sundays. Mr. & Mrs. Howard Dolan Watford, Mr. & Mrs. Alvin Carroll, London; Mr. & Mrs. Harry Carroll and Mr. & Mrs. Wayne Carroll were Sunday dinner guests with Mr. & Mrs. Ron Carroll, Ian & Brenda. Dr. and Mrs. Imre Toth and family have returned to their home in Boston, Mass. after vacationing for a week with Mrs. Toth's parents, Mr. & Mrs. Ken Hodgins. Mr. & Mrs, John Thompson were weekend visitors with Mr., & Mrs. Sherman Eaton and family in Chatham. Mr. & Mrs, Karl Keller and family of London were Sunday visitors with Mrs. Keller's parents Mr. & Mrs. Lawrence irtzel, Orma Pollock of Kincardine was a week end visitor at the home of his sister, Mrs. Lorne Hicks. Mr. & Mrs. Ron Brittain returned to their home in Bramalea on Sunday after spending a week at the home of Mrs. Brittain's parents, Mr. & Mrs. Elmer Powe, Ada Mitchell of Montpelier, Ohio was a weekend guests with her sister and brother-in-law, Mr. & Mrs. Ken Hodgins. Pauline Overholt accompanied by Joyce Nesbet, Huron Park returned home on Monday following an enjoyable vacation with Mr. & Mrs. George Nesbet in Burlington. Mr. & Mrs. Fred Bowden ac- companied by Mrs. Russell Schroeder visited for a few days last week with Mrs.Robert Smith at her cottage at Cameron Lake and spent a couple of days in the Muskoka district before retur- ning home. Monday evening callers at the home of Mrs. Russell Schroeder were Mr. & Mrs. George Mercer of Exeter, Glen Schroeder and Kim. Glen Schroeder and family have returned to their home in 13racebridge after holidaying for two weeks with Glen's brothers Reg and Harry Schroeder. Morg Wright, Eileen Roeszler and Olga Zemitis manned the booth. T-A photo First rector guest speaker at church 25th anniversary GRAND BEND Special services were held Sunday morning in St. John's-by- the-Lake Anglican Church when they celebrated their 25th an- niversary. Guest speaker was their first Rector, Rev. Cannon Gordon Houghton of London. Special music consisted of a solo by Cheryl Ashisk accompanied by herself on guitar. Organist for the day was Joyce Pickering. Both girls are residents at the Missing Piece coffee house in Grand Bend for the summer. Other special music was presented by the Rock family of Nairn when they sang with two guitars and banjo ac- companiment. Flowers in the sanctuary were given by the congregation of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic church. After the service coffee and donuts were served in the Parish Hall. At this time Rev. G. Houghton and Rev. W. Mills were presented with silver plates. A gift was also presented to the regular organist Mrs. Ross Love of ,Dashwood,..Mr ..G,,,S,Todd of Beach O'Pines prepared a 25 year history of the church in booklet form for the members. Mr. & Mrs. Elgin Hendrick were among 50 Huron county beef producers who last week returned from a European plane trip tour visiting in Holland, Switzerland, Germany, France and Austria, Keith Hay of Vancouver is spending a week's holidays with his parents and sister, Mr. & Mrs. Lorne Hay and Linda at their summer home here.
