RECENTLY — Mr. and Mrs. Donald Luther were united in
marriage recently in London at the Salvation Army Citadel. After the
wedding, they motored to parts of the western States for a three•week
honeymoon. The young couple will reside in Corner Brook, New-
foundland where Don is articling with Barry, Wells and Monahan Law
firms. Don is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Eric Luther of Hensall.

Exeter United Church was the
setting Or the June 22 double-
ring ceremony of Leona Faye
Obre, daughter of Mr, and Mrs.
Stan Obre, Exeter became the
bride of Robert Allen McIntosh
son of Mrs. J. Warner,
Pleasanton, California and Allen
McIntosh Kemptville.
Rev. Glen Wright officiated
and Doug Lewis provided the
music with solos by Annmarie
Hoffman.
Given in marriage by her
father, the bride wore a gown of
white swiss dot accented with
polyester lace, which was
designed for her by Mrs. Ann
Romaniuk.
A floppy hat with a long full veil,
was her headpiece. She carried a
nosegay of pink roses and
assorted silk and straw flowers to
match the attendants dresses.
The maid of honor was
Georgina Obre sister of the bride,
Sandy Thompson, Karen Herm,
Carolyn McCann and Janice
Frayne were bridesmaids. Amy
Cooper was a flower girl.
The attendants wore gowns of
white swiss dot on colors of blue,
pink, green, yellow and mauve,
Nosegays of dried flowers with
matching streamers to accent
their dresses were carried. They
also wore floppy hats,
Jim McIntosh brother of the
groom was best man. Guests
were ushered by Laurence Amos,
Mike Tiernan, Barry Tiernan and
Morley Obre, Ring bearer was
Mark Amos.
The reception was held at the
Pineridge Chalet. For a wedding
trip to Niagara Falls and Eastern
Ontario the bride wore a blue and
pink floral pattern halter dress
with white accessories,
The couple will reside in Huron
Park. The groom is employed at
J. F. Farm Machinery and the
bride is working at the Bank of
Montreal in Huron Park.

Following their honeymoon in
Northern Ontario, the couple will
reside at RR 2, Denfield.

Hooper on June 29 at the Thames
Road United Church.
Spring flowers in lantern
candelabra decorated the church
while Rev. Barry Robinson of-
ficiated, Agnes Bray provided the
music and the soloist was Mrs.
Shirley Dick i ns of Exeter.
Given in marriage by her
brother, Dennis, the bride wore
an empire gown of polyester
sheer with French lace appliques
on the bodice and hemline. The
short puff sleeves also had small
lace appliques which also
trimmed the headpiece and the
long cathedral veil.
She carried pink sweetheart
roses, white daisies, Carnations
and baby's breath. in A white
basket.
The maid of honor was Mrs,
Sharon Passmore, Woodham,
sister-in-law of the bride.
Attendants were Mrs. Sharon
Lynn, Woodham; Margaret
Parsons, Hensall and Mrs.
Barbara Passmore of Exeter.
The attendants wore empire
dresses with flowered skirts,
white bodices and short puff
sleeves. They carried white
baskets of spring flowers..
Brother of the. bride Dave
Passmore Of Woodham was the
best man. Ushers were Grant
Hooper, Exeter; Jim Fletcher,
Woodharn; Dale Passmore,
Exeter and the ring bearer was
Dale Fletcher, London.
The reception was in the
Pineridge Chalet and the wed-
ding trip was ,to. Northern
Ontario. For travelling, the bride
wore a blue coat and dress en-
semble. The couple will reside at
441 Albert St., Exeter.
Before the wedding, an open
house was held at the new home
on June 16. The bride was also
honored at several showers.
The groom is employed at
Guenther-Tuckey and the bride is
employed with Cook's in Cen-
tralia.
