tourquoise velvet. Her bouquet,
trimmed with pale pink velvet,
was a variety of dried permanent
flowers dyed to coordinate with
the colours in her dress. Loose
dried flowers made -a, wreath that
encircled her upswept hair.
The brides youngest sister,
Cathleen Greig, Victoria, British
Columbia, was the maid of
honour, while Carol Mason,
Blyth, attended as bridesmaid.
The bride's only nephew,
Richard Gardner, Victoria,
British Columbia, served as ring
bearer. Just fifteen months old,
Richard wore a kilt of McGregor
plaid, the ancestoral tartan of the
bride's family. The little fellow
carried the rings up the aisle in
the sporran, the traditional pouch
worn by the Highlander.
Serving as best man was Lt.
Douglas McLennan, Winnipeg,
Manitoba. Mr, Roger Haines,
younger brother of the groom
was usher.
Mrs. Elmer Dow, Staffa,
played traditional organ selec-
tions. During the signing of the
register, the ancient Scottish
ballad, "My Home" was piped by
Nelson Howe, Cromarty. The
bridal procession left the church
to the lilting tune of "The Road to
the Isle".
A lawn reception was held at
the residence of Mr. & Mrs.

Wednesday in honour of Mrs.
Helen Blewett, Principal of
Huron Hope Nursery School,
Grand Bend, who is retiring this
month.
About 50 children, parents,
volunteers, board members and
friends of the South Huron
District Association of the
Mentally Retarded attended the
luncheon, to honour Mrs,Blewett.
Rev. A. Blackwell, President of
the Association, gave the address
and Mrs. Nonie Hemmingway
made the presentation of a Royal
Doulton figurine and Pottery
Bells to Mrs. Blewett, in ap-
preciation of her devotion and
loyalty to the school and to the
children.
Five children: Donald Tiede-
man, Danny Greb, Eddie Zim-
mer, Caroline 'and Tommy
Needles were presented with•
promotion diplomas from Huron
Hope Nursery School,
Columbia, Saskatchewan and

For her going away outfit, the

Following a honeymoon in
Prince Edward Island and ex-
tensive travelling this summer,
the couple will settle in Winnipeg,
Manitoba where Lt. Haines will
complete his Air Navigational
Training.
