The Editor:
A message to the sky patrol
policemen who were up above
keeping a watchful eye over me
on May 27 at approximately 9:50
a.m. while I was on my way to
work in Exeter.
Being unaware of their
presence, I drove down the
Crediton road, made the turn to
Exeter and was waved into the
laneway of the boat mfg. plant by
a policeman.
Believe me I was scared, but
I'll tell you they sure are won-
derful fellows because they don't
only stop people to tell you what
you've done wrong but also what
you've done right.
In their words they just wanted
to commend me on my excellent
driving.
Thanks very much to the
fellows of the O.P.P.

coming from Brantford, Sarnia,

Drive in soon!
Dear Sir:
I am writing concerning an
Incident that took place on the 6th
of June 1974 concerning the
medical staff at the South Huron
Hospital.
My son Rick Funston had a car
accident about 2:10 a,m. on the
6th of June 1974. The ambulance
was called And he and a Mr, Rock
were taken to Exeter Hospital.
On arrival at the hospital, the
nurse in charge called the Doctor
on duty. The Doctor told the
nurse to have the ambulance take
the patients to his office in Dash-
wood. The patients were again
loaded into the ambulance and
taken to Dashwood where they
were unloaded from the am-
bulance into the doctor's office.
He checked the patients over
and had them taken to the
hospital; Rick Funston to Exeter
and Mr. Rock to London.
The patients were moved on
and off the ambulance a total of
six times before they were finally
put into a hospital bed. This was a
period of over two hours for Rick
Funston and over three hours for
Mr. Rock.
This seems to be very strange
for a doctor or hospital to func-
tion, as normally the doctor
would come to the hospital to
examine the patients.
I feel that if a doctor does not
take his responsibility seriously
enough to do this, there should
possibly be a law, Federal or
Provincial, that would enforce
him to take this action,
I know in this case the accident
victims were not hurt seriously,
but I do not believe the doctor
knew this when he had them
moved from the hospital to his
office.
I, think this sort of medical
attention could and will if con-
tinued, cost someone their life.
