The Greys jumped into a 3-0 lead in the first inning and they were never headed. Joyce Hume singled and Darlene Bourne followed with a walk and both crossed the plate as Valerie Sweet banged out a triple. She came in to score on a single by Merna Carter. A triple from the bat of Valerie Sweet was the big blow for the Greys to produce another three run rally in the second frame. Joyce Hume singled, Joyce Morgan tripled and Linda Bower delivered a double to send four ' more Exeter runs across the plate in the third inning.
