Bible Society The annual Bible Society walk- athon is 'go' again this year and will be held May 11 leaving the United Church at 9:30 a,m. For seniors, the walk will be be held from the United Church to the arena and return. All proceeds go to provide Bibles for the Sudan. Evening Unit A very busy time of fellowship was experienced by the members of the Evening Unit, of the UCW Tuesday evening when they prepared for the Opportunity Sale which was held Wednesday and Thursday. They worked on an afghan and prepared material for the braiding of rugs and place mats for the Christmas Bazaar. The worship service was taken by Mrs. Ivan Stanley and Mrs. H. B. Langford on an Easter theme. During the business meeting, chaired by Mrs. Ed, Melanson, unit leader, the members decided to donate the quilts which had been tied at the March meeting, to Mission Services, London. The annual Opportunity Sale sponsored by the UCW Wed- nesday and Thursday, proved to be successful again this year. General convener was Mrs. T. Emery, Sr. Pentecostal Holiness Rick Thornton led in the song service at the Lucan Pentecostal Holiness Church Sunday morning and Marlene Butler sang a solo. Rev, Ray Brewster, speaking from Romans said that people must not live in sin or obey sinful desires, but must walk and live in newness of life as Christ has freed us from the bondage of sin when we accept Him as Saviour and deliverer. At the evening service Mr. Brewster took his message from John, stating that many people do not know what they worship, but true believers must sincerely worship God in spirit and in truth.
